Kudos to you for wearing crocks to this steaming crock of dookie, Mr Giger. Don't worry, Sir Scott assures us it was NOT an alien prequel.
Off to forget this film ever existed.

OH PLEASE YOU ! THE MOVIE WAS ATROCIOUS AND A PLOY FROM LINDELOF
WHO LITERALLY LINDELOFFED HIMSELF ALL OVER THE PLACE WITH THE SAME TEASE AND NO DELIVER SCHEME HE ALWAYS PULLS. BOO, AND DOUBLE BOO.
WHISH I WAS ON THAT SHIP WITH NOOMI RIGHT NOW TO GET AWAY FROM THE FEELING OF UTTER DESOLATION THE FILM GAVE ME IN THE END.

I am shocked at the ones who went to see it again. It is a waste of money. It wont break even.

LOL. Great pic of Giger. I was wondering what he actually thought of the film. I'd love to know. I'd imagine he kind of liked bits of it, wondered what the Hell was going on for the rest, was a bit peeved they only got him in for a mural & murdered his Xenomorph creation at the end!

agreed with the rest of the posters on this thread, Scott must have been too much hands off with this project. Does Giger (who looks as if he drank some of the black liquid himself in the pic above) really want to leave this earth knowing he put together and was apart of something so inherently bad? If I were him, I wouldn't wait for death to come looking for me. I wish I could have the 2 hrs and 3 mins of my life as well as my money back!

Giger is going to do a Weyland and go into Hypersleep for many years into the future, just to be woken up by an android who will show him a movie in his universe that is decent. He may have to even travel to another planet devoid of Lindelof style hacks to do so.

Gotta feel sorry for the guy, having his creation treated with respect in Aliens then reduced to diarrhea from that moment on.

Well that's odd. The movie exceeded breaking even during the first weekend (Adding international 1st weekend and North America 1st weekend combined)....and there are still countries yet to see it....
I haven't seen a phenomenon like this since 1977's Star Wars!!!! Some folks seeing it 4+ times....
Yeah...this movie's a total flop... ; P

@Appleguy...Wow, kind of uncalled for. I hope you don't ever grow old.

I had to create an account just to post this:
Don't pretend you know what HR Giger thought of this movie. You have no idea.
On H.R. Giger's involvement: [Ridley Scott Interview]
I brought him in, I showed him what we were doing, showed him the story and he liked it a lot. So he's doing a little bit of work for me. He's been doing some murals, big murals, which we'll see in almost one of the first chambers we encounter when we land where we're gonna go.

Wow, Giger looks...terrible, no offense, gotta love him.
And with the crocs and the plastic bag and all. You almost wouldn't believe that's the guy who created our so beloved alien, IMO.
Every king has his reign, I guess...
You don\\\'t see them fucking each other over for a goddamn percentage!

not to mention it would be the strangest theater of all time - sure looks like a restaurant and a doggy bag.
this thread needs to be so deleted it's embarassing

This thread does need to be deleted. The reason being because some of you guys are so desrespectable. You act like junior high kids. Hey maybe you are in junior high!
June 30, 2012
Extremely pointless thread. Instead of this, have a listen at one of the the most insightful talks about Prometheus so far!!
