Alien: Earth and Alien: Romulus sequel news

Fan's disappointment

I feel like most fans hyped this up to be a movie filled with face huggers, chest busters and xenomorphs. Those fans were a bit to focused on thinking this was a prequel. Ridley said it wasn't a prequel, yet fans continued to deny his words and have their own idea. I think the disappointment stems from this. In all, I felt the movie was very good. Actors were decent, script was choppy at times but average and the plot increased my interest in the alien series (assuming there will be sequels, no sequels and I'm pissed!).

I enjoyed the movie, I enjoyed the way it's left my thinking over every detail of it and left me wanting to see more and re-watch it :)

I agree with both of you. Quit frankly I think the Space Jockey story in this film has more substance to it then a film about Xenomorph's.

Didn't enjoy it personally but I can see how some people could. I actually would have enjoyed it more if there was no connection whatsoever to the Alien universe and it was a totally standalone film. The connections to Alien put into the film felt forced and clunky and did not improve an already cumbersome story.

@Jthought26 Definitely agree I find myself wanting to know more about the story behind engineers, I don't think i would've felt the same for xenomorphs

I thought the movie was great overall. I really want to know more about the story behind the engineers. I also wonder if Ridley will make a Prometheus 2?

Agreed Jthought, Scott got us again with the "less is more" formula. You didnt really see the Jockey until the end. Him and Cuddles all grown up come with an entirely new round of questioning.

I think we can all agree that there will be a sequel.

What about shaw running around, jumping, rolling and repelling with an 8 inch incision through her abdominal wall and womb which is held together by staples and only a few hours old?!?!?!

I don't know maybe medical staples in 2098 are really strong. Here's a good question to think about do you think realistically that modern man will be capable of producing the same type of technology In Prometheus at around the same time 2090's?

Remember when you believed Shaw was going to turn into a Space Jockey? Yeah, that was a pretty dumb idea.
