The reason I see

Along with the fact that they say the Proto isn't related to the xenomorph and yes IT"S CALLED A XENOMORPH, is because of the inner mouth and no tubes on it's back. While the meaning literally does mean 'strange form' and can apply to other alien species, they were given the name in the comics, the movies and games.
I went to see this movie, it was well worth the 5 and a half month wait since the teaser premiered on Dec. 22 last year, to seeing it in IMAX. In short people
QUIT WHINING, Ridley Scott did what he set out to do, explore the Space Jockey's nature and the reasons for engineering weapons and life-substances.
Go ahead and hate me if you want to, but for the simple, short fact, I enjoyed it and plan on buying it on Blu-Ray 3D the day it becomes available.
