If the two guys were lost before the sandstorm then who took the vehicle?

They supposedly walked back, it was in walking distance. Shaw walked back near the end when the alien ship was taking off.

Yes but when they first went to leave the pyramaid wasn't there only two four wheelers left, and they acted if those two must have left ahead of them. I thought that you seen the van by them right before they got back to the ship, which would seem odd
