3 things to think about.... At the end of the movie the space jockey climbs out of his pilot seat and dies... how the heck did he get back in it in the first movie? my theory was that since Xenomorphs take on the traits of their hosts, could he have been smart enough to put the jockey back in the chair and crash the ship on another planet for Ripley to find? After that, could the alien then have become a queen, found a suitable spot on the ship and lay the first true eggs, and in the process destroy all the canisters and first gen. facehuggers to guarantee the eggs would find a host and survive. after which she died but was able to supply the eggs with plenty of first royal jelly (the black goo) :D But the one thing i can't piece together is if the first true alien is born in 2079 how did the predators in AVP plant the eggs in the temple in 2004? :S oh and one more thing... WHY THE HELL WASN'T LANCE HENRICKSON IN THIS MOVIE X(!!!!! If anyone has any other ideas i would love to hear them :)

Are you just trolling? Different ship (notice the bridge in Alien's juggernaut has no stasis pods?) Different moon one is called LV 426 which is dark, only 1200km (745 miles) across (far smaller than our own Moon) very volcanic, with short days LV 223 is bigger, brighter and has longer days, and no heat sources Different SOLAR SYSTEM. (LV 223 is at the very nearest about 4.5 light years from LV 426 given the infromation we have about them) Therefore, not the same Space Jockey.

David says at the end that there are 'many' ships. Different ship and therefore different space jockey in Alien.

hmmmm... do think maybe the alien might have found another ship, woke up a different space jockey from stasis, stow away on board and manage to crash the ship on LV-426. it would make sense since the xenos have used this strategy in almost every movie.
