I know this may be a question that would be hated by strictly alien fans and im not saying that this should ever be created except maybe in comics but.... Do you think that the engineers could possibly have any ties to predators? What if an engineer and a predator got into a fight? What if Engineers and Predators met...?

We don't know enough about the Engineer race and technology to answer that question. The black goo would obviously pose a valid threat to predators.

I have to disagree @astrozombie66, Predators are strong I'l give you that and the original Predator is one of my favorite movies, but the Engineers are stronger it would seem. I mean, the predators struck several humans and each human could take at least one hit, whereas the Engineer struck each human only once and killed them.
