"I don't know if anyone noticed this yet but its an egg.
Look at the door. Who ever made the door carved the xenomorph life cycle into it with incredible detail, however they left out one vital stage: the egg. They included several variations of face-hugger, proto-xenomorph, and a possible further xenomorph evolution. However the door doesn't depict a single egg. At least not until you zoom out. Instead of looking at what's carved on the door look at the entire door and you will see an egg. Its shape and the design on its top reflects that of the known xeno eggs seen in the first movie. Now, knowing that the mural depicts the entire life cycle from egg to full grown xenomorph, we need to question its purpose. If its a door then I believe that behind it lie the egg chambers found in the first movies which where never discovered or seen in Prometheus. However if its not a door then perhaps its a set of instructions on how to create the eggs and the xenomorphs using the black goo found in all of the urns. And if its not instructions on how to create xenomorph eggs perhaps its a warning of what happens when the black goo isn't used correctly or what happens when someone, say a space jockey, is contaminated with it.
its just something I noticed that I think finally answers some questions."
I don't have a good enough picture of a mural but if you follow the post to the topic i provided at the top there are several pictures of the mural. Look at the most zoomed out one to see what I'm writing about.
