BIg Change Between Trailer and Movie

In trailer #2, at the 1:21 mark, when Dr. Holloway is in front of the Alien mural you can clearly see the ceremonial bowl from the opening scene of the movie which the engineer drinks from. In the film though, as a bunch of people have stated, there is just a big green rock on the table. Why would they change the film to show a big green rock instead of the bowl? Why the difference?

Yeah I was watching the trailers again today and it really stood out. I guess it boils down to, why remove the ceremonial bowl? I think it may be to increase the idea of the soldier engineers being separate from the priest engineers who use the cup?

That bowl also appears on the official book (Prometheus: The Art of the Film). Maybe they have changed it with that unmentioned green crystal because on 10.11.12 they are going to announce the tie-in with Superman. And yes, that crystal is Kryptonite...

Possible that Holloway initially was infected there and not from David ?

I don't think Holloway was infected there in the room. I think having the ceremonial bowl there would have a made some sense, but what made RS decide to change it to a big green rock? What the hell is it and why is it a better choice than the bowl?
