We know ther eis the signifigance of Shaw's father having ebola. I do not feel that reference was casual. The mention of it certainly presents a call abck to the disintegration of the sacrifice engineer. But what if his sacrifice is not so noble? We do not really know wher eor when that scene occurs--could that be an earlier attempt to wipe out the human race? Perhaps the life that forms from this act is a virus---ebola or some such?
Just a thought that has been plaguing me--pun semi intended...
