One bioweapon or many?

Simple enough question to answer actually. The urns are the beginning, and there is an entire armory, which David calls a "cargo hold," with thousands of these urns there, all carrying the black oil (I'm just gonna refer to it like it actually is lol). Now they in turn genetically alter the DNA of their hosts and can lead to the creation of the Xenomorph through impregnation of another host. Now, to answer the question of the Eggs. The laying of the eggs, and therefore implying a queen, was not originally apart of the Xenomorph's lifescycle in the first ALIEN movie. In a cut scene Ripley finds Dallas and Brett cocooned in to a wall and are being genetically altered in to the eggs. Brett is further along than Dallas in this scene but you can clearly see the petals of the egg forming around Dallas's lower abdomen. This is also confirmed in the murals in the Ampule Room. In the "Art of Prometheus" you can see them a lot better as there are several images of a Xenomorph holding an opened egg, and at the bottom of the "Crucified" Xenomorph you can see a reference to the egg/hugger/host lifecycle as well. I'm inclined to think that the Engineers had more than one. If they're a highly advanced, almost "God-Like" race of bio-engineering creators, wouldn't [i]you[/i] make sure you had enough of various kinds of mutagens, pathogens, biomechanoid monsters, pesticides or anti-vermin? The black liquid obviously changes the host's DNA and induces genetic mutation in a horrifying and violent fashion. We easily saw what happened to Fifield and how close Holloway came to becoming a mindless "Space Zombie" (Fuck you Vickers!). And we know that sexual interaction with an "infected" (I can't help but think there's too much of this zombie shit these days) can lead to impregnation of foreign entities (Brilliant idea not bringing a Weyland-official condom, Holloway). Obviously we can count the mutated Fifield/Holloway, The infected Holloway-Shaw "lovechild/squid" and finally-the iconic "proto-xenomorph" everyone's been talking about. And let's not forget something: This was just ONE OF SEVERAL TEMPLES WE SAW-ON A FORWARD STAGING SITE/INSTALLATION

To add to your commentary StarbeastEngineer, I think there were other experiments conducted at the other temples, why else would there be multiple ones with it's own Juggernaut lying underneath? I really hope they revisit LV-223 to show this, but sadly I think the rest of the installation on that moon is going to be left unexplained for future sequel(s).
