we need to get someone much better at writing it will be hard but i was afraid this would happen fucking lost bullshit thinking made its way into the film you know now why they called it lost prometheus was a great film but it could of been so much better than it was its this simple get another writer even lindelof knows he fucked up. Lindelof cast doubt on his participation stating "if [Scott] wants me to be involved in something, that would be hard to say no to. At the same time, I do feel like [Prometheus] might benefit from a fresh voice or a fresh take or a fresh thought

Yeah, he's not necessarily a bad writer as much as he just purposefully screws the end up. The whole movie was straight forward until the end when everything becomes jumbled and confused and you can tell he purposely did that. The sequel has to be straight forward and it must answer more questions than this one did. Maybe it wouldn't be such a bad idea to have James Cameron direct this film. I don't want an avatar type plot but maybe he can make it a little more simple without destroying the film.

I did sense Lindelof in this, it made me puke a bit in my popcorn. Seeing that he is "willing" to step down says it all. We shall see...

What the fuck am I reading? Everyone has the right to criticize the film how they please - but to suggest James Cameron and Christopher Nolan? I think some of you might need to take a step back, watch the film again, and then reevaluate who you think could do a better job. Christopher Nolan and team only write in exposition. Do you really want a film consisting of characters who explain the plot to the audience through dialogue? That is what happens when a filmmaker thinks his audience is stupid. Damon Lindelof and Ridley Scott, no matter what your opinion on Prometheus, at least regarded their audience as intelligent.

I have respect for Lindelof and the mass confusion and thinking he makes his audience go through, but for me, it just didn't work with this sci-fi movie.

The movie had 2 writers John Spaihts and David Lindelof. So I don't know who wrote most of the script but Lindelof might return to write the sequel but that depends with the studio. But I would like David Fincher to write the script for the sequel because he had troubles with the studio and has to write script while he was filming his movie (Alien 3). I think he should write the sequel the way he wanted to be.

I'm ambivalent about Lindelof's involvement with the sequel to Prometheus. In the interview below, he claims he just did what Ridley asked him to do. If so, how can you fault the guy? I liked Prometheus as it stands, btw... http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1687203/prometheus-sequel.jhtml
