What if Giger himself designed the Trilobite, Hammerpede, and Deacon?

You'all realise that art's such a time-sensitive medium, right?
Certainly the expression of nightmares such as Alien was through the 70's.
Maybe Giger's past his prime?
:)
However, I agree with D.e.

As far as we all know, Giger aged like fine wine. The murals seem to be a great deal more complicated than critter designs would be - I think they're proof he's still got it. I don't see why he couldn't work on the creatures on the side.
Deacon concept art showed a much more Gigeresque look. I don't understand why they went with something smooth and more cuddly in the film itself. Even in concept art, the Trilobite looked too Lovecraftian. The Hammerpede is probably the best of what we've seen, but isn't biomechanical. Even the mutant Fifield was intended to be toothier and such at first, possessing a more xenomorphic appearence. Only half the creature designs would beckon for Giger's influence, had they stuck with the conceptual looks.
Obviously, Giger's getting older. I hope Hollywood and whomever else taps into his "nightmarish" skills while his hands can still create more often. In my opinion, he's always been underutilized.
