I want to take a quick poll on this theory and see what you all think. Since RS says we are at least 1-2 more films before Alien 1 movie. That got me thinking. Premise: What if the Space Jockey in Alien 1 lets call him is actually banished from his home planet by the rest of his society for the sin of giving humans the secret of the black mutation liquid. Banished sort of like Prometheus is for stealing fire and giving it to the humans and sentenced to have his heart pecked out for eternity. The space jockey(Engineer) is banished and sent out to eventually crash on that planet and his chest exploded So in the next 1-2 files Shaw will get the secret of DNA manipulation from some Engineer understand how it works and essential humans then have the secret, the Engineer who gives it to her is banished (more or less). I guess that sort sets an epic battle between men and Gods(Engineers) over the power of DNA manipulation. Any comments?

They could have put this also in Prometheus without needing a sequel. I think there must be some bigger story, hopefully. But i am not sure if i will follow Prometheus till the end, as this is all to stupid and i hate beeing fooled by screenwriter, who already messed this damn lost up... what a pseudo-intelligent crap...

Humans have been manipulating DNA through selective breeding for thousands of years. Scientists are playing with DNA in the lab with results like goats that have spider-silk proteins in their milk for harvesting, and that is in the PRESENT. Soon in the future, hospitals will grow your organs from your DNA for organ replacement. I'm not thinking the engineers showed us anything new, or intentionally gave it to Shaw, either. It's more like we showed up and just started messing with things, in the first movie anyways.

I had to chime in here because i think you missed something. Here is WHY I think DAVID8 got torn a part by the Engineer at the end. For stealing the Fire ! It was David that stole and then brought on board Prometheus and then Opened one of the canisters containing the vials containing the black goo. Also and most importantly and again referring to the French Magazine interview/video Ridley did right before the release of the film in which he ended a 33+ year mystery and informed us all the The Derelict Ship on LV-426 is/was a BOMBER and the Eggs are/were it's Cargo !

What if in the newly aquired second juggernaught ship that another BioEngineer slumbers in a deep cryo sleep and is somehow revived and makes an attempt to commandeer the Juggernaught ship ourt of the hands of Shaw and something occurs on the way to say LV 426? Because Space Jockey and BioEngineer are different in their arms and their bodily structures as a whole. Go and compare photographs the original Space jockeys arms are long and it entire bodily stance is in a extreme sluped position. It body looks out of proportion to that of the BioEngineers so is that a matter of fact for a reason in the film or just plain continuity disgressions for disgressions sake?

David already knows something very interesting about the biotech which he has kept to himself. The Space Jockey on LV 426 may well have been on a mission to remove these weapons from the clutches of his overseers, but was forced to land by a chest pain he knew all too well would kill him. Hence rather than let the ship drift. He put down, and set a "stay the frack away" beacon.

What may be interesting to see as the franchise hopefully progresses is that an allude to Aliens can be used perfectly here whereby even the BioEnginneers are f---ing each other over for a god damn percentage! Pehaps, as with David causing the man to be infected and Shaw to become 'artificially inceminated' i guess, the same may have happened to the Space Jockey who ended up on LV 426. There could have been his own version of internal strife and corruption going on within his or her own society and as a result, like with Ripley and Shaw, the Space Jockey met the same fate and became infected aswell for his efforts. Whether he or she deserved it or not remains to be developed and seen.

I hope Shaw & David make an engineer buddy. Y'know, save his life and he follows them like a lost puppy with inhuman strength.
