My interpretation of prometheus

MemberOvomorphJune 17, 2012563 Views2 Repliesmy take on the film is that this is not so much a prequel as it is more an explanation of the origins of the xenomorphs it seems to me that the planet they are on is not LV-426 but rather a completly different one and just like they stated in the movie i believe that this planets function in the engineers civilization is that of a manufacturing facility the reason i think its a different planet is because it seems in alien the ship looks awkward and out of place like it crashed unlike in this film where the ships where in a deliberate line and also the interior of the ship is different between the two films and in my opinion that is deliberate just like we change our trucks and boats to carry different cargo i feel that they do the same thing its like they use the same platform for many purposes so on the planet in prometheus they manufacture the black goo that seems to be like a virus or parasitic life form that needs a host to further its agenda i.e survival and prolification and in my opinion the engineers discovered this substance or where aflicted by it and then chose to use it as a bio weapon much like we have weponized ebola and smallpox that being said the link to the alien films in my opinion comes from the engineers studies or experamentation with the goo and they discovered that different hosts create different "species" and in my opinion there is probobly a facility where they create the xeno's and use them as weapons just like our use of genetic engineering that being said the ship in prometheus carys the goo the ship in alien caries the xeno's that are most likely "manufactured" on another planet much like the planet in prometheus and the ship we see in alien obviously had an outbreak much like the ship in prometheus so thats my take on the link i would like to hear yours now :)
