My thoughts on the Proto-Xenomorph

So I just saw Prometheus for the 1st time today and I loved it! I have a bunch of questions though. Some I have theories on, like where the proto-xeno came from. Could it have been possible that Shaw's offspring implanted the xeno egg into the engineer, therefore the xeno's come from us humans? I understand that Ridley Scott explained that some answers you won't be able to fully answer until next sequels (hopefully they will be made), but this question has been bugging me all day!

Quite honestly, the last scene with the supposed xenomorph felt tacked-on and stupid. It was like a punctuation to a confusing mess.

@Xenotron: "Quite honestly, the last scene with the supposed xenomorph felt tacked-on and stupid. It was like a punctuation to a confusing mess." I preferred the artwork version as it went towards the light that was meaningful...
