Dont you think there is a big coincidence... about DAVID and Goliath.. i mean... its like its the story upsidedown... in this case.. goliath cut david's head off...
intereseting... by the way.. then he kills Weyland with David's head.!!

MemberOvomorphJun-23-2012 12:32 AMYour English is fine...I didnt see the boy in Shaw's dream but I will look for him next time I see the film. Killing Weyland with his Android's head was perfect irony.
The film has so much in it that you really have to see it more than once and once we get the home version it will become even more clear

MemberOvomorphJan-16-2013 7:06 AMSpeaking of Shaw's dream I wonder just how much truth is being presented.
In my dreams there may be people that i have known but they are in places i have been but they had never seen.
The dream's location might have been my last job but the people with me were from decades earlier.
People I have known, in locations that were unknown to them and a mixture of folks from throughtout my life sort of assembled for a story.
Shaw's dream seemed to be all together, linear in story telling in a time frame that made sense,,,not like a real dream, not like my dreams.
Can we believe what David is seeing in Shaw's Dream? How much can we believe in the same context as we see the scenes?
Maybe the conversation with her Dad took place at some other point of her life. Maybe it was her Mom who was the religious person in her life.

Although it has to be said that what is seen is the neurovisor's interpretation of Shaw's dream state. If the image that it is producing contains a representation of David, it's supposed to indicate that Shaw is subconsciously aware that he is invading her dream (we are not party to how, exactly). Since it's a construct, what we see is not necessarily what Shaw experiences, but I don't see any reason why the imagery should not be "believed".
As for the narrative itself, dreams are odd things. Sometimes they make no sense, and at other times a long linear plot can unfold. I've experienced both.

MemberOvomorphJan-16-2013 9:46 AMInteresting comments about the dream. Your screen shot is very good, something i did not see inmy viewings. Just a bit later, before the dream ends i saw a man in a jump suit that I assumed to be David You pix was new to me.
I had not thought of what we see as a interpertation o fShaw's dream but in thinking aboutthat it makes more sense than a direct transmission to the visor.
There was some talk of manipulation of dreams and i thought this might offer David an opportunity.
I can't help but think of Shaw's reaction to David knowing about her Father's death through his vision of her dreams.
She must have felt like he had raped her mind or soul.
David even knowing the details of her Father's death might have been learned through her personnel files.. But if David lied and said he knew from her dreams well that was cutting her to the quick, a deliberate effort on David to subdue ant of Shaw's effectiveness.
I guess the easiest answer, reading her dreams, is best.
