MemberOvomorphJune 23, 2012Hello. I saw the movie and freaked out over the art direction, lol. So, I drew this pic of David when I got home from the movie and my friends said I should share it on here, so... here I am, lol. I want to be a conceptual artist for movies more than anything. Hope you like it.

WOW - really nice... you got talent, no question!
If all the scientists in the movie would have talent like you -well i think the trip would really take a better direction...
Respect!

This is fantastic!!! I am an artist to, work mainly in pencil drawings using lead/graphite. I am going to do a series of drawings of various cross section of things throughout the alien and Prometheus franchises. VERY good work! :-)

Literally, exquisite.
Many possess gifts - or imagine it.
However, those who, genuinely, possess a gift such as yours, are very, very, few.
You should have no doubt - and be full of pride.

Yeah, I've seen so many of these 'My Prometheus Drawing' that I was all prep'd to be my usual cynical/critical self .... BUT THIS IS VERY GOOD.
I'd say you've aged him a couple years (which is a nice touch) but your Colour Choices are spot on.
Excellent.

Can you please add a little info about your process, how long this took, what program and tools you use for digital painting? I love the subtle and very realistic shading. After this moves down the list a little ways, i'll move it to the media section for you. Be sure to show us some more Prometheus art if you make any! ~thanks

Have you heard of phoenix asteroids?
They glow in every color of the rainbow...they travel endlessly through space...

Wish I could draw like this, you have a very unique mind's eye...I like your vision a lot...really nice.

You have a unique mind's eye and such clarity that I have a new way to see David. So talented, thank you for sharing this.

Hey there!
That is very well done. The only thing is David doesn't look that old.
Too many wrinkles.
IMHO.

It is sublime, digital art really has moved from curiosity to mainstream. This is a prime example of that. Absolutely beautiful. I saw a mention of Vickers/Shaw... that would be a treat if you could possibly do them as well, again thank you so much for sharing.

Wow, thank you SO much everyone! : 3
I drew this on normal sketchbook paper with a not so special #2 pencil, lol. I took a photo of my drawing with my digital camera (I hate scanners, they take away the texture of the paper) and fixed it up with some color and contrast on a free program called Gimp. It's like a low grade photoshop, but it's all I got, lol.
I've been thinking about doing some cartoony things with David, I'll post them if I follow through : 3
I do tend to accidentally age people in my drawings, lol. I tried to stay as true to the original image as I could, which did show slight wrinkles. I guess I just made them a bit too noticeable, lol. Heres the original image I based it off of-
