fuck yeah! i was watching Ancient Aliens on TV ( produced by Prometheus Entertainment!? what!?) and they were hypothisizing Poseidon as a long white haired "Engineer" with an Alien Trident Weapon that shoots lasers! Thats what the fuck im talking about!!!! C"MON!
Ancient Aliens PRODUCED by PROMETHEUS ENTERTAINMENT???!!! coincidence?

That does make sense. Though, it would have to be more relevant to call a movie that than simply because its mythology relates. For that matter we could call the third one "Zeus." The title "Prometheus" though catchy still doesn't really give a good explanation as to the "why" the first movie was called that.

Well i think Paradise is a universal form for a discription of the place where God/s dwell and place we assend to when we die.
So i think Paradise is fine still, but there are maybe ties to Greek Mythology and indeed all Ancient cultures.
Such as Pandoras Box, this was not a Box but a Jar given to Pandora and told she must never open it, and when she did, it unleashed all Evil on the Earth....
Maybe this could be the Urns, maybe David read the inscriptions and it had a similar warning on it... i.e do not open death inside!
I think the movie is trying to tie in many Ancient Cultures and they are have connections... for example some speculate that the Pandoras Box is linked to the Tree of Life in the Bible, as Pandora was the first Women like Eve, and they was both Warned not do open Box/Eat off Tree of Life. Paradise is a poor name any way you cut it, because we have no expectations it will be anything like it. There isn't even any evidence to indicate the engineers created us, yet Shaw will go ask them why they did and why they "changed their minds"?
There is only a basis for thinking about alien astronaut theory. Maybe the engineers visited Earth, and had contact with humans, but there is nothing in that to indicate they are anything but aliens who were visiting Earth.
The story is gravely mistaken, I'm sorry to say, but it could be fixed with an expression by Shaw that she doesn't believe that the God she believes in was one of the engineers. They can easily give us this with a dialogue between her and David, who asks her questions like that anyway.
The engineering she chose to believe in should be redefined as the engineers must have been agents then of the gods, but even then it's such a stretch.
The truth she discovers can be different from what she believes, of course, but just speaking to her beliefs they are in conflict.
I like Olympus, because it follows Prometheus, and I am looking at LV 223 as Tarterus then.

I might be wrong because I don't own the DVD, however, I thought one of the translations about where they came from was not a word that was really translated 100 percent, but the closest word David could translate it was paradise. I actually think it will be interesting if they elaborate why humans develop that word through fantasy and its actual origin.
