Just received a very interesting email from Weyland...(MUST READ)

MemberOvomorphJuly 12, 20123799 Views68 RepliesSo yeah I just got an email from "Weyland Industries" that talks about employment opportunities at SDCC (yes I realize that we all know about the comic-con thing) but it also says this...
"We're seeking candidates for Project Prometheus, re-launching on 10.11.12.
...for more information call WEYLAND (**9395263) from your mobile phone."
Very interesting choice of words...however I believe this confirms that 10.11.12 is just a Blu-Ray advertisement.
EDIT: Wait a second, guys! CALL THAT NUMBER. Something is definitely up!
That call is creepy as heck. It says something that I can't understand...SOMEONE TRANSLATE IT NOW!
SECOND EDIT: Now that I've heard the call a few times, it actually does sound like an Engineer on the second half of the recording, speaking the "Engineer language". Maybe that's why it's so hard to understand haha.

Yes there are still going to be releases in September or October, or WHATEVER...........for different countries and languages.
Movie companies just put in voice overs and release movies in different countries to bring in extra money, it doesn't mean that just because Alien, Ridley Scott and Prometheus, are super famous in the English speaking countries, doesn't mean other countries could recognize them from a hole in the ground....
But pretty please let's not get in to all that, because it's pointless, really it is and you're killing my buzz with all that talk........
And a re-release with a different twist or extended version, is MY VERY OWN PERSONAL HOPE so let's just leave that part clear lol.
Plus I said maybe it could be an ANNOUNCEMENT which is the key word, they could ANNOUNCE a re-release scheduled for 30 years from now (6/12/ Wheneverthefuck.) if they wanted.
Geez let's not all get to happy about any of this <--SARCASTIC!
Can we at least all agree that it won't be an announcement for a Blu-ray/DVD release, or have I not given enough proof to convince you of that yet?
and YES, I have anger issues. But I don't judge any of you guys by your posts.
Or do I? <--Plot hole?

Just got the same email and it seems really "fishy". Thanks for the info about the call, gonna have to give it a call soon.
July 12, 2012
Yeah man that recording is crazy. Can't make out one word except maybe the last one..."dead".
July 12, 2012
@Bo Cherry: Yeah that sounds really cool! I also got that e-mail about 3 hrs ago but since I'm in the UK I don't seem to be able to call that number. Can you try to record that message and post it? Usually, phones are capable of doing that. That would be cool, I'm so bloody curious to hear that!

Thank you so much for this post.
Very nice my dear Watson, but It can't be for the Blu-Ray release....Why?
BECAUSE,
I have some very interesting information!!!
Yes, GET EXCITED! And please keep reading this whole repy it's worth it!
The widely known and expected release day for new music and home releases of movies (DVD, BLU-RAY) is:
A TUESDAY.
Click Here If You Don't Believe Me And Find Out For Yourself
10-11-12 (October 11, 2012) is in fact a THURSDAY.
Thats T H U R S D A Y, with an R...don't be gettin all blury eyed confusing Thursday with a Tuesday, silly pants...
And just so you know, I checked and if you're thinking "maybe it's actually 11-10-12 (November 10, 2012) because it could be in a different countries date format:
Well 11-10-12 is, in fact....not a Tuesday but a SATURDAY.
Hmmm
So moving along I also checked Blu-ray.com Prometheusand BEHOLD! They have the Prometheus Blu-ray scheduled to come out on 10-09-12.
And holy cow, that's the all powerfull T U E S D A Y!!!!
Still excited? If you can't tell.....I AM!!!
- So if the Blu-ray release is set for the 9th (A Tuesday).
- And you received a message stating
"We're seeking candidates for Project Prometheus, re-launching on 10.11.12."
"re-launching" = the most important words!
Could there possibly be an announcement for a RE-RELEASE of the movie, with a different twist?
Or an announcement of a sequel?

Can someone record this message? I called the Weyland number but it doesn't work in Canada. :(
July 12, 2012
Dude!,,,,just called it....sounds like a demon!.... crazy cool man...... alot of back ground sounds I cant isolate...has that Alien "scratch sound"....if you havent dialed it, do so................
July 12, 2012
Very interesting indeed... just played the recording over my stereo... sounds like the language David spoke to the last Engineer, but what do I know?
-In addition, there is still a classified section in the Weyland directory under Project Prometheus, I would assume it is related to SDCC and 10.11.12
I have been aware of the DVD/Blu Ray release date (10.9.12.) since before Prometheus hit theaters. I have never suspected 10.11.12 of having any correlation with 10.9.12. (its two days after, in my mind that rules out promotion for the home release) which has had me looking forward to that date more than June 8th haha...
July 12, 2012
waah, the recording was weird... it kind of sounded like someone said "what did he say?" but it could have just been creepy engineer-speak. maybe they will mention it at comic-con?

November 11, 2012? 11.11.12? Man, you're confused. Or overly excited... haha!
July 12, 2012
LOL just overly excited.
Thank you by the way.....I made the correction now hahahahahaha,, it's November 10th, 2012 but i'm still excited!!!!!!
July 12, 2012
Haha, no prob. But I hate to break it to you, and as much as I'd love to see a quick follow-up/sequel, like we all do, there are still release dates for 'Prometheus' in mid October... unlikely it will happen this fast. Maybe a very brief trailer or hint for 'Paradise' of some sort.
July 12, 2012
I'm sorry but, so far approximately 90% of the time it feels like I'm pulling teeth around here just to get my point across, and people just flip all my words upside down as if I'm not being crystal clear.
OR, people just skim through every post and they only make comments about the pretty looking sentences. I can't figure it out yet!
July 12, 2012
Ok, this is verrrry interesting. Let's look at the example of the last Harry Potter movie, and the 'part one, part two' phenomenon. Yes it was heavily promoted as such, but the hype around Prometheus is cryptic as Hell, so it stands to readon that the drama television style cliffhanger we saw suggests not only are we getting a sequel, but maybe we are getting it while the taste of the first one is still in our mouths.
Sir Ridley hinted at a two-parter (not an obvious two years later sequel) from the script stage already, possibly due to the size of the content. The last two Matrix films were also back to back if i recall correctly.
So, sequel or same year two-parter. My money is on the latter...
July 12, 2012
No @ Bioscope, you're supposed to be like everybody else and not make sense of this, and just be a Debbie Downer.
Nope, no way in hell could they release a sequel, not RIGHT AWAY!!
That would just be crazy and make a whole shit load of money!
I am being completely sarcastic @Bioscope.
Your point is, well.................its ON POINT!!! I'll drink to that!
July 12, 2012
@Bioscope
A same year two parter would be F***ING awesome
That being said, this idea popped in my head not a half hour ago: 10.11.12 = announcement for Paradise to be released around Christmas!!
Unlikely, I know. However I list these these speculative reasons as to why it'd work
- December would be a six month span from the release of Prometheus (Matrix Reloaded/Matrix Revolution anyone?)
_ What better month to release a movie (tentatively titled Paradise) that has us "meet our maker"?
Would love to hear your opinions...
