The war that is Prometheus.

All I see is things getting worse.
Theories are being ripped apart, and "bad screen writing" is emerging as the victor.
I think all of us, the ones who loved, liked, or hated this move, we all wanted a little more.
Now we are stuck creating, each of us, our own universe that is Prometheus.
The ones who loved it, are filling in the blanks to cover up the nonsensical parts of the movie as a whole, that the ones who hated it clearly pointed out.
We all understand what we saw, a film made in 2012, that had to maybe try something different and pressure itself to be "that one new idea that has never been done before, but tie itself in to a classic that birthed physical horror in space." And I'm starting to believe it ultimately failed.
Everything brought up in this movie, has some connection to a book, a movie, an urban legend, a tv series, something that has ALREADY been done.
I even went so far as to come up with a theory that I haven't posted.
And that was "maybe this movie was meant to be heard, and not seen."
As crazy as that sounds..........what if we all went to the theater that night, or day when we first went to experience Prometheus, and we all just shut our eyes for the 2 hours and 4 minutes, and let our imagination bring out the nightmares, ignoring the visual wonders, the texts as to coordinates, the cgi, and if we really just let our mind fill in the blanks. Why should we always base movies on what our eyes tell us? I like to read, and movies just can never ever pull that same creativity out of us, in movies we are left to establish a connection with the characters that is so much different then when we read a book, books give us the thoughts, the motives, the back-stories, the inner conflicts being conducted in the characters mind, and movies can never give that to us, and maybe the intent of the movie was to try and give us a book reading experience through an on screen performance.
But instead we did the logical thing, and went to WATCH a movie, nitpickiing the errors at the very first chance, and in the end we all came to the forums like the blind leading the blind in a never ending circle or who what when where why and how?
At this moment I'm not sure if I'll ever be sure if there where any real intentions of this movie, or maybe even a 130 million dollar product, could have just been let out there by the wrong hands or perhaps Ridley is telling us all that he's starting to suffer dementia, and gave us this movie so that we may know what it's like to physically suffer from it?
I'm just gonna let the theories run wild in my head until I can either forget this flick, or the Blu-ray magically makes me and everyone else go "Oh, I get it now.", or I wind up in a padded room somewhere.
It is just a movie though, and I personally wanted Ridley to make all the other movies in this universe "all better" and come up with an explanation for everything, to stick it to every previous plot hole, to neatly wrap and put a bow on AVP and Resurrection, but I'll just keep on dreaming until this whole franchise gets rebooted in another 30 years perhaps...........
Overall, Prometheus is becoming an entity in itself, a 'conspiracy theory' if you will.
Scott and Lindelof are in the Weyland Corp Illuminati?
Or deftones1986 had too much coffee tonight?
