Ridley Scott's return to the Alien genre and just curious to know what she thinks.
Well, she won't slag it in an on record I think, at least, she probably 'likes it a lot'.
I wonder if some of the Alien films cast were invited to the premiere?

I asked her what she thought of Prometheus, the Ridley Scott-directed prequel to her Alien franchise. “I haven’t seen it yet!” she laughed. “I’ve been too busy shooting Political Animals in Philadelphia. All the good movie theaters are across the state line in New Jersey, and I haven’t had time to make it over there.”
Still, seeing Prometheus is on her to-do list: “I’ve been getting a lot of conflicting emails about it,” she says, reporting that some friends feel like it dovetails well with the Alien films while others were, well, alienated by it. She swears she’ll see it as soon as she finishes Animals’ grueling shoot: “It’s this pot of gold I’m holding out at the end of the rainbow.”
this is from back in June, we still haven't heard from Guillermo Del Toro what HE though about it, having had to CANCEL his Mountains of Madness film-alike.

Most likely we won't hear from her opinion on the movie until a couple years later.
James Cameron certainly has seen it, and we haven't heard what he thought of the movie.
I'm pretty sure Sigourney and Cameron loved the movie though

I am sure she'll hate it because of the pace. None of her movies sucked because of pace.

Im very intruiged to know what the original cast of Alien think of Prometheus. Id Imagine Weaver herself is probably quite gutted inside that she wasnt part of it in anyway. She was always banging on about how she would love to do a prequel with only either Ridley or Cameron.
Ive always loved the Ripley character, Mrs Weaver is the original female heroine and she will always be remembered for that, but she seems to think or atleast act as though the Alien franchise should always evolve around her and thats not the case.
