A big hello to you Alien' fans... Been here for a few months now and picking our brains about Prometheus... Thank you for all the interesting theories, this is a great forum. If this has been already talked in another thread then please lock this thread down but i searched and couldn't find any... I came across this 3 months ago while watching Alien again and again (and again lol). Check The movie on blu ray and freeze the picture at 1hour 12 minutes and 42 seconds and tell me what you see... I can't believe Ridley left something so visible and didn't cut it. i'll be back to check if someone finds anything...

I know pal... lol Personally i've never been so enthralled by a movie... But did you check what i was talking about? When Dallas is inside the airshafts just after he gets to junction 3 and he starts using the flamethrower on the lower level... You can see a stuntman dressed in black using a second flamethrower... It's just that i never saw it until 3 months ago... Am i seeing/imagining things?

You will always get goofs and mistakes in all movies unless they are all Animation via Drawing or CGI like the Disney/Pixar movies. As any mistakes can be changed way after in those movies. When your doing actual shots with actors and sets, and there are mistakes well its too much work to then go back and re-shoot the scene.

'BigDave' Exactly... And i noticed this on my 100th viewing lol .Ridley clearly showed us the Alien before each time it appears on screen: you can see it hanging on the chains just before it gets Brett. Or with Dallas in the airshafts just before he gets grabbed and of course in the travelling sequence when Ripley gets into the Narcissus to the command panel (you can see the Alien top skull very briefly). Ridley is a genius guys...

I can relate to you guys. I saw Alien as an 11 year old boy and I am now 39. I lost count how many times I watched the movie and yet I did not pick up on the scene in question. I will have to re-visit the movie. I have also watched Blade Runner over one hundred times and I can tell you now I will be watching Prometheus over and over when the movie is released on Blue-Ray. This film gave me such a "wow" factor. It operates at so many levels that (like Blade Runner) you could watch Prometheus over and over again and get something different out of it each viewing.... In my opinion this would have to be Scott's greatest movie since Blade Runner and I look forward to owning my own personal copy.....
