For me, I really liked the scenes that showed the Prometheus ship, it's a magnificent design and I just really liked the effects used for it.

But my favorite scene was probably the Trilobite vs. Engineer scene and the scene where the Engineer turns on Ford, David, Weyland and Shaw. Oh, and yes I really liked the Deacon birth scene at the end, I thought it was great.

There are many, but I would have to say, just before David awakens the sleeping Engineer.

Ha you could not have asked a harder question! Every single scene was beautiful in some way. Visually, Prometheus took me back to the great British sci fi of the 1960's and 1970's, including The Prisoner and the productions of Gerry Anderson, but with a fantastic hyper reality, that Ridley Scott otherness. And of course don't forget 2001, a source of some disagreement here, I know. I can't choose! Truly almost every frame contained some wonder. The huge pop soundtrack, the Cecil B Demille dialog, the acid trip story arc. For me, my favorite shot of the Prometheus is the long shot when the RT01 emerges from the dock fir the furst time and it's crouched on its massive thrusters with the mountains behind it. Or how about the skull on the dome when the storm is coming? And the Trilobite scene, yes, brilliantly realized, a classic!

By far, the Engineer dummying everyone, and taking off.
The way he interacted with the controls. Taking a big breath before the mask goes over his face.
The sound effects of the ship. The music.
Oh, my!
And of course, the momentus of the scene gets ruined in an instant. Once Janek pulls his "HAAAND-JOOOOOOB" ...
Freakin' pathetic...
I've got my fingers crossed for Paradise. I hope it won't dun-goof like Prometheus.

KingOctober 09, 2012
For me its the scene where the chair comes up, and the deacon scene :)

my favorite has to be when the engineer goes crazy on everybody, but i would when daid finds the the deck, i guess, of the ship when he discovers the engineer and stuff:)

I like the Engineer scenes, especially when he speaks and fights the trilobite :3

Another one is when Shaw slaps the crap out of Holloway.
This is my forum signature.

(1) Peter Weyland at TED 2023. Weyland's speech is impressive and threatening. (Deleted scene) See:

(2) landing, launch of the rovers to the route to the point of contact and
planet surroundings.
(3) The fight between Shaw and the Engineer, especially the cut scene, Ian White gives a magistral touch in these final shots, in using light ranges.

Almost EVERY SCENE was Ridley-gorgeous. A wonderful art exercise. David was the main focus of the film, and the screen lit up whenever he was on it. And JANEK, apart from that weird kamikaze. But that's okay, because Janek, and the rest of his crew were Nexus 7.
Fave scene? The launching of the 'space jockey' seat; that unravelling. And I liked David playing flute and pressing white jelly buttons. That was super-camp.
2013 sci-fi horror novels 'Custodian' and 'Tandem' available from Amazon, B&N, iTunes etc...

The opener/prologue for it's stunning visuals.
The Engineers running hologram, the starmap hologram with David listening to/watching the Engineers.
Yeah the 'jockey' chair rising up made my nerve endings tingle!

pulserifle187October 10, 2012
the hologram of the running engineers, then the last one turning to see what was behind him that told the whole story of what happend there.
The chair coming up out of the ground too....that was fantastic.
"how do you feel?"-" great, next stupid question"

William/89October 10, 2012
I liked the scene when David spoke to Holloway. I know David has no feelings but i'm starting to believe he is understanding them more than we realise.

Cerulean BlueOctober 10, 2012
1) Every scene with an Engineer.
2) Every scen with the Juggernaut.
3) Every scene with the LV-223 Skull Domes.
asphaltpilotOctober 10, 2012
"1) Every scene with an Engineer."
+1 I want to know more about them and their connection with the xeno.

I loved the first TRAILER (!YEAH!) for Prometheus, where these deep contrabass and these hits and this "vibrato synthesizersound" appear and freezed my blood in the venes... Real masterpiece. - and it made us H.U.N.G.R.Y for more. But it was not delivered, unfortunatelly...
The movie itself then was dumb, boring, disappointing most of the time.
Dont know if it was expectations, but maybe this is a "love it or hate it"-movie.
Hopefully prometheus2 will rock.
Anyway, better prometheus then many many other so called sci-fi movies nowadays. I never watched Transformers. Battleship and Skyline was real crap.
FirefighterUKOctober 10, 2012
Any scene that shows the Prometheus in flight and especially the landing scene watched on the IMAX screne!!!
I also liked the shadow falling across the landscape of the Engineers vessel and the movement of the Engineers ship at the start where it tilts and goes vertical moving the cloud at the same time.
Also the Engineers chair rising up.

Hands off!!! or Hands up!!!
well, my favorite scene is Prometheus crash with Engineer Ship
asphaltpilotOctober 11, 2012
Good point about the trailer. The UK trailer was the best. The music and cut scenes they put in prompted so much interest and excitement.

BloodOctober 11, 2012
Ma favorite is the introduction scene, with the beautiful landscapes, the shadow of the ship appearing and the engineer drinking the golden liquid.
Also when David enters the control room and everything turns up, and he watches outside.
And the surgery.

Klepto440pOctober 11, 2012
Noomi Rapace running around in her skimpy whites. oo-eer. Seriously though the film did pick up pace there, with some delicious self surgery and if you think carefully you can dismiss alot of critism with plot holes etc. Also I love the whole atmosphere and landscapes, beautifully realised. Watched it three times now on demand and to be honest gets better with every viewing. Lets save money from the avatar sequels and pump them in to more Prometheus's budgets. Then you can guarantee we will have no long winded love story or coming to terms with ones new abilities (urgh! boring) in our beloved proper thrilling sci-fi
I so love it though how the love connection was moreless immediately severed in the nastiest way possible Mwohahahaha. That's what I'm talking about!!! Burn the sucker!!! AND THEN!! he comes back mutated causing more distruction...oh yeah!!!
As long as the horror elements are still there, I'll be coming back for more. That's what us adults want, 15 certificated at least with dark/sinister and foreboding being the choice words/themes before pen hits paper
raman_grovOctober 12, 2012
Five scenes yeah.
First, David's life on the ship before anyone awakes. Fantastic.
Second, when Shaw declares " This is what i choose to believe" in context with the star map and the engineers. Then cut to David's expression and the score. Brilliant.
Third. The tussle between David and Vickers. "Try harder".
Fourth. The dialogue between Vickers and Weyland. Excellent. Look for the extended bit. I think it should have been included in the final cut.
And Fifth. The birth of the Deacon ( I am an Alien fan) :P
Thomas ReimerOctober 11, 2012
The opening was magnificent.
The crash scene was stunning.
The Deacon scene was a nerd-gasm.

Legendary Xenomorph October 11, 2012
The ending of the alien coming out of the engineer showing the creation of the monster icon of sci-fi films.
joeyjoeOctober 12, 2012
There are so many sequences that i love in the film. I suppose the scene depicting the sacrificial engineer (beginning of film) and the scene where the jockey-chair comes up out of the floor of the juggernaut and the engineer gets into the chair-suit are two of my very favorites (also, david inhabiting the prometheus while rest of crew was in cryostasis! just beautiful!).
minchiaOctober 12, 2012
My favorite scene is the killing of Weyland. It is a justice moment, that never happens in our historical moment. Persons that generates catastrophes (financial, military, ...) never are persecuted, while the thief of apples goes in jail. I think that an engineer, God, had his good reasons to do and we know it.
PortmanteauOctober 12, 2012
For me it's the character design of the egineer.

- David combing his hair in front of the mirror and reciting a quote from the film he saw where the bloke burnt his finger

The engineer getting into the seat and the dramatic effect induced by that. The music in that scene was right on. The sounds of the juggernaut humming up and Shaw's running through the corridor trying to get out. All good stuff!

bluebengal88October 12, 2012
The med pod scene where Shaw performs the emergency c-section on herself. Medical related things have always intrigued me. Also the Trilobite scene at the end.

Savage DeaconOctober 12, 2012
I like the scene when ...oh god there all freakin awesome! But I'd have to say that when the Deacon shows up sayin "This my house" is coooolll!
There is nothing in the Dessert,
and no man needs nothing

Nostromo74October 12, 2012
I really love the "cut" fight scene with Shaw & the engineer. To me it was believable the way that it was choreographed that she could have taken him on with that axe. The engineer seemed to enjoy playing with her like a cat does a mouse knowing that in the end they will win but what he doesn't know is she has a surprise waiting for him.....I would love to see the full sequence put back into a later edition. That's the only edited/cut scene I felt was worthy of leaving in out of the 4 disc Blu-ray set!!! Make it happen Mr. Scott!!! =)
Did I.Q.s just drop sharply while I was away??
Aleksandra TaylorOctober 12, 2012
Honestly, it's difficult to chose one scene. Number one would have to be the very end when the alien burst out of the engineer. But a close second was the alternate scene of when the missing crew member's camera was right outside and he had turned into more of an alien than a zombie like the original theatrical version had. Seeing him pounce instead of jumping was breathtaking. I have to admit I got a lot of goosebumps when watching it the first time and I can't wait for Paradise or the third one linking it to Alien.
MorrelOctober 12, 2012
The scenes where David watches and repeats Lawrence of Arabia. He actually watched my favourite scene from that movie, it gave me goosebumps.

StretchNYCOctober 12, 2012
My favorite was the end part when the deacon/alien burst out the engineer. Reason why is because I had no idea this movie had anything to do with the movie classic Alien.
