For me, I really liked the scenes that showed the Prometheus ship, it's a magnificent design and I just really liked the effects used for it.

But my favorite scene was probably the Trilobite vs. Engineer scene and the scene where the Engineer turns on Ford, David, Weyland and Shaw. Oh, and yes I really liked the Deacon birth scene at the end, I thought it was great.

I really liked those calm shots of Prometheus making the approach to landing. You know where it's very quiet, almost a "calm before the storm" moment. You see it from top down and from the back where it's just slowly drifting through the beautiful, but eerie landscape.

Since we all mostly agree that the chair rising was 1 of the best, I must also say the beginning with David is truly Ridley style . I only got the feeling of being alone when I saw that part, so it worked! :)

GI_2012October 14, 2012
For me it was when the final Engineer awoke, I just loved the look on his face when faced with these intruders in his realm. Was he a benevolent being who was in awe of these humans who had finally found him? Eh...nope, he was a big, angry bastard!! Loved it!! Then the iconic flight chair emerged and I nerdgasmed and a little bit of wee come out!!
Didn't care for the 'Deacon' though. To me it was just there to scream ''Hey...Fanboys..look, it's an Alien!!!''
Best character in the film has to be David, Micheal Fassbender was fantastic in the role and if there's a sequel, I hope he's the driving force behind the story.

my favorite scene in the whole film sent chills up my spine in the best way. It was the scene when the engineer raises the space jockey chair and it rises and rotates from the floor as the music crescendos into EPICNESS!!!!! I had been waiting for that moment my whole life, and it DID NOT disappoint :)!!!
Engineer_CroxallOctober 14, 2012
Mine has to be when the Engineer fought the Trilobite.. Although the scene when Shaw had a caesarean was also a great, thrilling highlight of the film as-well.. The bloody thing almost got Shaw.. :)

Top 3 in order:
1. Deacon Birth Scene
2. Extended Engineer opening
3. Fifield mutant rage

xenomorph1275October 18, 2012
The scene where the new breed of Xenomorph burst out of the chest of the engineer. I liked the movie but I did expect a little bid more of the Xenomorph. Ridley said the Xenomorph was used so much that he wanted something different, I totally agree with the fact that the Xenomorph has been raped by some movies but that is an even better reason to make a movie with the Xeno in it that is as good as the first movie, I meen the idea of Prometheus is perfect but the Xeno is what made the movie interresting, to leave the Xeno out of it almost the whole movie was not good in my opion. But then at the end, I knew the Xenomorph had to come but I almost lost my trust in that. But finally after 2 hours of waiting there it was. The most amazing creature that excisted in movie history was reborn in 2012. I loved it immedialty and it made the whole movie great again. However the deacon did was a little bit strange but no wonder he was strange. It was only the chestburster, I wonder how the adult one looks like. Well that's one of the 100 reasons to watch prometheus 2.
warrior7October 18, 2012
They said that the deacon was more of an ultramorph. Something that supercedes the xenomorph in both purity and killing power. The engineers and xenos had existed for a very long time. The deacon on the other hand is something that really shouldn't exist because it has the ability to wipe out both cultures.

I loved many scenes, but one that impressed me a lot was the ship crash.
Looked amazing, had great weight as characters sacrificed themselves to save humanity.

David repeating "The trick, William Potter, is not minding that it hurts" in the moment the ship starts to slow down.

KorpenOctober 24, 2012
My favourite is the beginning, NOT becuase of the engineer, but becuase of the giant spaceship. One aspect of it in particular:
"I LOVE THE WAY IT TAKES OF UP INTO THE SKY.
It raises itself verticly and while the engineer is breaking down from the black goo, you can still see the ship in the background while its flying off up into the clouds."
You can also see the giant shadow it casts on the ground during the intro montage of primordal earth.

"..You can also see the giant shadow it casts on the ground during the intro montage of primordal earth...."
I didn't notice the shadow until one of the audio tracks mention it,,,I searched earlier shots of the openning,,but didn't see the shadow again..

Funnily enough it's the flute scene, starting with David switching off the link to Charlize and ending with the lone Earth globe hologram. An awesome few minutes.

Not_my_intentionOctober 28, 2012
David alone on the ship, that's the only Oscar worthy part of the film lol everything before and everything after is anywhere from really stupid to pretty good, but nothing can touch that part of the movie.
LINUS SPACEHEADOctober 29, 2012
I admit my download got cut off right after the computer surgery.
But that was my favorite scene.
It seemed too real and freaked me out that she was awake.

thanks NCC glad you got a kick out of that ^_^

My favorite shot was the close up of David's fingertip with the Weyland trademark built into the fingerprint. It also was part of the most puzzling plot point. What was David's agenda in putting the black goo into Holloway's drink? Did it come from Weyland or from Vickers, who clearly doesn't want her father to survive?
JasonGarnhamOctober 31, 2012
The scene where David's on the engineers ship and activates the holographic star map an interesting scene as David's a robot but he seems to be excited and amazed almost like a human.hes still a very naughty robot mind!Lol
reilly05November 09, 2012
I love the part where "DAVID" responds to "Dr. Holloway" about how he would feel if he asked his maker why they made us. The answer being "Because We Could" It was just so smug and smart. Puts Holloway right in his place.

Alien/PrometheusNovember 12, 2012
I love all of the scenes but if i had to choose a fave, it would probably be the end where the original ALIEN bursts out of the engineer. I loved this, as i am a massive Ridley Scott Alien fan!!!!!! I do love all the scenes containing David though, and all the graphic scenes such as the caesarean and when Holloway turned into that monster and had a rampage. That was awesome!!!!

db73November 16, 2012
David on his own aboard Prometheus near the start of the film. Very profound ..... sadly it was all downhill from there.
Indy JohnNovember 17, 2012
One early scene that I enjoy because it makes a brief appearence is the ship flying aeeos the star filled sky,,feom left to right.
It happens right in the middle of the screen almost like it divides the star field.
It is silent against the vastness of space.
Perhaps it there just for filler..but the ship movement undisturbed across the of space seemed almost unreal .
You sort of wonder from the camera viewpoint who or what would be watching this almost surreal scene.
I would like to think it was God..

Overall favorite for me has to be the opening "sacrifice" sequence, beautifully filmed and answering as many questions as it poses...LOVED it!

caenorhabhditisNovember 18, 2012
really hard to decide.... the rovers rushing to avoid the billowing brown clouds of the sand storm is pretty awesome but then there are many dramatic and genuinely 'epic' (such an overused word these days) scenes
I LIKE WORMS! I LOVE WORMS!

caenorhabhditisNovember 18, 2012
of course then theres the chair rising up like a majestic giant erect....erm cockpit lol

The scene when David walks into the space-hologram stuck to my brain..
You can see the Giger inspirational walls and the beautiful hologram in the middle..
I guess.. maybe because in that scary dark place there was this light place where you just forgot where you actually stood...

But really.. there was several scenes that was "Freezed the hand in the popcornbowl with the mouth open for a while" x)
I even have a Alien joystick for my Sega Master System :D
Indy JohnNovember 20, 2012
Hmm I don't know if I have watched the End credits. at home.
In the theater the place was silent as viewers didn't know what to think.

1. landscape and sacrifice - deeply stirring
2. David alone - haunting
3. Fifield and Milburn's ongoing rapport
4. The waking still-dopey Engineer
The 'Deacon' scene reminded me of the sequel-toting appearance of little critter in the kharzi at the end of 'Godzilla'. Naff.
pmusrDecember 15, 2012
the beginning was possibly the most moving scene of any ever. absolutely awed and overwhelmed me. can never without tears describe it to those who haven't seen it.
ship in flight over planetscape, complete with trailing vortices and landing. perfect
david's studies, experimentations with identity, irony [ironically]
the incredible beauty of the navigation room, the instrumentation so sensitively adapted to the human's noblest functions
the engineer's awakening and dialogue
david's dream-readings
wonder and longing evoked in equal measure, making every body hair stand on end. if only the engineers really existed.
this film in 3D is why imax was invented. i never wanted it to end. cannot wait for another installment
