MemberOvomorphOct-30-2012 9:50 AMI managed to acquire this from the Prop Store of London.Its a functional prop called a "Chestburster core".Its a hand held prop that was used to push through fake mannequin skin.A more detailed "hero" prop would have been used afterwards.
It came with signed provenance from "De Man" himself Mr.Tom Woodruff :)

MemberOvomorphOct-31-2012 12:45 AMYour right Chris.Some of the other props are expensive.I was lucky and got mine at a pretty decent price.I've been collecting for over twenty five years.I only treat myself to a collectable once in awhile but after a period of time it accumulates :)

im really surprised that old video didn't come up as evidence in court about the ol' sop lifting incident that occurred later.
collectables are awesome, i wish i had more!
i started grabbing crappy action figures on sale when i was about 12 and some of them are pretty hard to find now. i still do that when i see a figure on sale for something ridiculous. i like to hit antique stores too, sometimes they get some neat stuff for really cheep because they dont know what it is ^_^
i got my queen alien set for under 20 bucks at one when other people were trying to charge me like $100 elsewhere.
of course i get really funny looks in antique stores, apparently i am not their demographic.
