THe hammerpede's regeneration was very impressive on the big screen. When watching the DVD version it was not clear that the head grew back.. Fifield's demise,is of interest because he was used as host for a new generation of Xeno,,..but does not separate from his Zombie like body, Was this a differentr Xeno..that will not pass the test for a new species?

Meh .. possibly ... you see extras on bluray? I think if I heard right by one of the writers or visual ppl part of Prometheus that holloway was pregnant.. then again all the folks in regard to Prometheus seems to all contradict each other..

The hamerpedes I think had the same healing factors that the face hugger had in the very first alien film remember when it was cut it bled acid for a while then quickly healed itself and I presume it is silicone based like the face hugger also as explained in alien it sheds and produces more cells very quickly so I think it's all tied in.

Sorry but on the subject of the two infected characters the black goob was a chemical weapon to erase humanity from earth in two ways one to transform people into uncaring killers so possibly when fully infected they would heal but the most interesting question is that if female having sex with infected crew member produces giant face hugger which then reproduces with engineer that produces deacon alien what would have been produced with a giant hugger reproducing with human?either way anything deadly produced by black goop chemical weapon seems to have same DNA as all the creatures in alien films which means very tough and able to heal quickly.

Plus there growth cycle is incredibly fast as demonstrated not only.in our movie,,but in the relatered 'Alien' Does this fast growth cycle in any way affect Xeno's entire life cycle? Will Xeno's just burn themselves out..with the super fast growth? If their metabolism is as fast large quanties of food/energy must be needed.

I don't think that the changre in Fifield has been getting enough attention. From his introduction at the dining room after a deep sleep..to his coinfrontation with Shaw in the tunnels..shows quite a change in the man. And this change from a loner, a person only there for the money,,to a scientist on the exploration of a lifetime needing, insisting on going back to the ship seems to show some unseen stopry element. The cleaner than earth's atmosphere is my explanation. I think the air affected all memebers of the crew. The effects first show on FiField who is changing from a loner to a recruiter when he also talks Millburn into being his partner on the trip to the ship. In any case something else is at work here,,,and FiField's change is a curious event.
