how will look planet PARADISE???

I hope that it will be heavily inspired by Giger's paintings. But it doesn't have to be a planet, of course.

good question. i figured it would be an extreeme. either heavily industrialized/cold/mechanical or very lush and organic. lets just hope it doesnt look like the lovecraft universe.... so many tentacles!

I think it will be a very musical place if there is life still there. The flute and the engineer's attention on the video of a girl playing a violin in the deleted scenes suggest this.

 Ahead, a city looms, more beyond comprehension the closer they get. Kilometer high polyps, dark and faceted, puncture the clouds. A riot of shape and form, climbing into the sky like vast undersea structures, eclipsed by a giant rampart fronting the ocean. Yawning aqueducts pierce the lipped barricade, scaled to flush a million tons of waste into the hydrosphere with one convulsion. Massed bones in their many thousands slide to and fro on the tide, washed up against the divisions like apocalyptic dunes.The bones do not rot, and are only very slowly pulverized by the ocean, the horrid last dignity of the armatures of the near immortal.

Nice one Noob - love it! I imagine a sterile bleak world, shrouded in eternal darkness. Their Sun, their only source of light and energy is dying. The skies are choked by blackened cloud plumes - the landscape shudders at the booming echoes of thunder; as the sky is etched by the illumination of lightening filaments. The air is dank, cold and unwelcoming, this place died a long time ago. The giants brought forth from the bosoms of Paradise have fled, deserted their Mother. But She continues to spin, as she dances and whirls around her dying companion.

I know, it's great reading other peoples ideas on how they envision Paradise. It will keep me occupied until it graces the silver screen. I'm going to dig out your Paranoobius thread - good stuff!

The Engineers are master of life, despite what Ridley Scott might be suggesting that, I don't remember how he said it exactly, but it was along the lines that, according to him, Paradise planet might be horrific. I have no reason to believe that their world, or worlds, are gone. To them, their world is as they are, but to us humans, it has the potential to be horrific or beautiful or both.
