What a brilliant film maker. His movies all belong in the Smithsonian. He is an artist's film maker because of his incredible visual acuity. His focus is on the visual atmosphere and details. I heard him talking recently about the importance of picking a good cast so he can focus on what he does best - creating the environment for them to become the characters in. I heard the set at Shepperton studio for the Nostromo was all interconnected so you had to walk all through the corridors to get out of it. People would wander through it and became totally immersed in the fantasy of actually being on a commercial towing vehicle in deep space. I could never say enough good things about Ridley Scott so Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Ridley.. When you come to Indianapolis we can have the wife drive us around and enjoy a real footbal game complete with a tailgating experience you will not forget. Later we will visit The Slippery Noodle for brews and real Blues music.
