Oscar Nod for Prometheus

Glad you found this out. Mainstream movie/Oscar news seems to to ignore our movie. That could be good or bad. But at least our movie is not forgotten, yet.

The effects in Prometheus are stunning in particular for their subtlety, something certainly not on view in Avengers, an often clumsy film that doesn't break any ground that hasn't already been trampled by Michael Bay, insofar as I can tell. Along with effects I'd think Arthur Max and Michael Fasbender would or should get nods too at the very least!

With all the love for Prometheus I have as a whole, I'm going to chime in and say- Life of Pi is the most ferociously beautiful film I have ever seen. If that thing sweeps all the visual categories, yeah, the universe has some justice.

Maybe this site should have it's own 'show' and select Prometheus related winners in many categories. This has been sort of done with the 'Name your favorite scene' type threads New examples might be.. Best Use of Goo Best Engineer Best 'Fire' Scene Best Comedian Best Hair That kind of stuff

oh, great news! It's definitely nice that they got recognized

Well it certainly deserves best visual effects but if it doesn't win, the corrupt oscar system being what it is, it wouldn't really bother me but still it would be nice.
