MemberOvomorphFeb-10-2013 12:12 PMNow, The engineers started life on a planet, similar to earth before time, and I have a theory, We are a project the engineers made, They visited our planet every 5000 years, to see how their "Nature-project" Is doing, so far, everything went great, they even left an engineer on earth, to prove that the human race is good. They we're wrong. The engineer is seen as Jesus, who is later crucified, The Engineers see that the humans are very aggressive, and plan on destroying their project with the black goo. While the black goo was in development, an outbreak started, and they all died. Earth would have been destroyed in the years 5000-5500(possible). Now, my question is... Am I right, or is this just a silly theory I came up with?
Please give me feedback.

There have been hints (no less than from RS himself) that the Roman persecution of Jesus considerably annoyed the Engineers.
But I'm not so sure. After all, evolution and natural selection are by definition good at bringing about species that are great at survival, and a certain aggressive stance helps in that regard. I always thought that 'the meek shall inherit the Earth' is wussy. The Engineers for sure would know this, so why eradicate us just for causing a bit of internal mayhem?
There must be more to it than meets the eye. Why did they create us in the first place? Are their experiments geared towards finding a species that bucks the trend and takes that step that brings about a purity of spirit with no aggression or violence? If so, they are hardly a poster child for acting peacefully, so that would seem a little unlikely.
What is the experiment for? Do they believe themselves to be doing God's work in seeding the cosmos with life? Are they dark angels? And if so, what is their real agenda?
Too many questions. I don't know the answers.
The most terrifying fact about the universe is not that it is hostile but that it is indifferent
