1. How good a director is Ridley Scott and James cameron ?
2. If anyone else had directed alien would it have been such a success (remembering that ridley introduced the sj and shape of the juggernaut) ?
3 Was ridley's add making history an important part to the success of alien ?
4 does ridley tend to steal ideas from other people and use it in his movies ?
5 james cameron used ridleys ideas: the woman asking please kill me was taken from tom skerrit asking to be killed in cut scene in alien , Ripley going back to get newt is taken from that same scene , the ship leaving just before everything exploded is taken from the narcasis leaving before the nostromo exploded , etc .
6 James cameron is an engineer / physicist . Ridley is a visual artistist. Is it safe to say that camerons idea for the queen is purely a more logical idea to explain the eggs in the juggernaut ? If cameron made a prequel to alien what do you think the movie would have been about ?
7 what was the reason why the mystery of space jockey and the juggernaut was never explored directly after alien ? Why was James cameron not interested in exploring it ?
8 has fox found a formula and is applying it again: as in James cameron directing paradise ?

2. It migh have been more succesful mainstream, probably would satisfy a lot of viewers who don't want to think as hard as we do about prometheus(i dont blame them people)
3. I couldn't tell you honsetly. although i think it helped because of experience in filming. you know?
4. He uses them like a line he wrote himself. They get the message he wants to egt across, across. I don t know if he is popular for stealing a bunch of lines every movie he does anyway.

Cameron wanted a sequel that was different and would make this series more exciting(which it definitely was) the other two movies were just attempts to get the last bit of money out of the alien and they did. I don't think fox was interested of starting smething new because they didn't know how fans would react. now that alien has the occult following it does, it was wise to make promteheus.
8. It worked once but i don't think another shoot em up action film would be good for a sequel to this. i want ridley to answer(at least) some questions in this sequel, thenwe can talk about someone else directing alein. maybe an action movie or something colse to one, would be good to show the connection between prometheus and alien. but not for paradise
