memory transfer

kinda like a 'black box for androids' in a practical sense; a human sends out their robot 'host' to avoid physical danger, and later downloads the memories to gain valuable intel.
(there's been a several scifi movies and series with this sort of thing in it so its far from a new idea)
technology-wise it is a matter of getting a computer with a digital-to-biological usb cable. that, or a complete understanding of brainwaves and memory storage in the brain; in which a brain could be reprogrammed with heavy duty bluetooth tech.
(not so silly really - we just mapped dna recently)
so, applied to the 'aliens' franchise, the Weyland family (and maybe even the Yutani family) could be well-kept as mortal vessels in some 'ivory tower' ; never at risk, always have eyes on everything - and 'they' as a select few - evolve into beings who have each experienced dozens of lives; a royal family. This 'family who become gods' could be presented as far more insidious and inhuman than the xenos could ever be. given the right script and director of course.
this tech would never be (as would first contact) made public... to the public. tech would be the new definition of class - not only being about money - but about network, about trustworthiness within the upper classes. supposed 'latest tech' would be presented to upper class; and with threat of death they would love them for it.
Also, it would be a great movie metaphor for the current 'illumined' or 'NWO' conspiracy business; perhaps setting the scene for their ultimate downfall in a few hundred years on the timeline. Audiences will love this; the understated build-up of 'The Company' falling apart and the military taking over; desperately trying to resolve the xeno infestations. democracy making a proper comeback etc.
Applied to Prometheus; Vickers could be an android (with working, beliveable vagina) ; a prototype to the 'black box' tech; because Weyland senior doesn't like her much - and likes bad jokes. her human self waits in stasis on Earth for eventual transfer of memories and perhaps becoming a vegetable in the process. (Or Weyland really really hated Vickers and it was her human self with no backups.)
Weyland himself visits LV223 as a human with an android version of himself waiting back on Earth for his 'last memories' to make him immortal. His superstitious nature and pipe-dream hope for the 'Engineers' knowing how to 'transfer souls' means he will risk all for his last few mortal days.
his fear is memory transfer does not equal soul transfer which does not equal immortality. His fear may equate to horror humans have not yet observed.
