A Place for UPDATES: Is PARADISE moving forward? Skeptics, thoughts, hopes, fear

No necessarily true. According to 2 very reliable sources close to both the studio and the Prometheus 2 project, the film is progressing behind closed doors. Ridley is very much interested in continuing on with the sequel(s) and from what I've been told, the script is nearing its completion. They must have some kind of grounded story, because Ridley's already met personally with [url=http://www.prometheus2-movie.com/news/819]at least one actor[/url] for a potential role in the sequel. I expect the studio to remain even more tight lipped with Prometheus 2 than they were with Prometheus. With so much being leaked the first time around - it led some fans to certain expectations which set them up for disappointment (ie. expecting a direct prequel to Alien - which is was not, but seemed like it was due to the set pic leaks and word of mouth), so I expect to hear very little in terms of major announcements for a little while still. But mark my words - it is moving along and we'll probably see it hit theaters..... [i]May 2015[/i]. That's my guess. ;)

If the script is nearly in completion it won't take long. I think that Prometheus 2 will hit theaters in 2014. The Forever War and Blade Runner 2 are in Pre-Production, too. The script of the films are written now. So there is a lot to do.

123Engineer, out of curiosity, where did you hear 'Forever War' and 'Blade Runner 2' were in pre-production?

I am going to go with Chris on this one... Alien and Prometheus where both premiered late part of May. Ridley is working on a few Movies and for him to get them and Paradise completed by May 2014 is a big ask.... I think they would work out if they are going to do a Prometheus 2 and 3 and if so they may take longer and get Part 2 done and also a lot of Part 3 done at the same time. So we dont have as bigger wait between Part 2 and 3 (if there is a Part 3) as we have with Part 1 to 2. Maybe they could go for Paradise to be a Two Part movie pretty much like the Last Harry Potter, or even a 3 hour plus movie.

Hopefully they film the movie in such secrecy that when it's done they drop the dope on us at the last minute so we don't kill ourselves with spoilers!
