The next Prometheus Film

lol Welcome aboard.... Well we cant be sure of those things but if you go through the Forum you will find many topics that could give you some insight... 1) [b]where did she end up?[/b] Well this is the simple one, we dont know yet but it would be the Home World of the Engineer Race, a place we call Paradise. Alternatively David cant be trusted and he may be aware of the Signal on LV 426 and thus he may take Shaw to that place instead. But i doubt that, as well all we would get is some answers maybe to Alien but most likely not as Ridley has said the Derelict is already on LV 426 a long time before Shaw and the rest of the crew of Prometheus set foot on LV 223. And Ridley wants to further explore the Engineers who are they? where are they from? why did they create us and then why did they want us destroyed? So Shaw is on that Juggernaut being Piloted by David on their way to Paradise. 2) [b]Where did the engineer's come from?[/b] See 1) they come from a place we call Paradise and thats where David and Shaw are off to. 3) [b]Where did the alien creatures come from and how did they get developed?[/b] This is a tricky one, and one that may never be answered not in detail at least. What it does look like is that the Alien Eggs have been around for a long time, certainly 2000+ Years before Alien. But we still do not know for sure. a) If the Engineers created them, either from Scratch or they are a Hybrid from some other Experiment and Organism, and if thats the case if it was a accidental creation or intended. b) If the Engineers never created them they just came across them or some related Organism and they decided to carry out Experiments or maybe Re-Weaponize them. Whats for sure is it does look like the Engineers have had contact with the Xenomorph or at the very least the Progenitor to them or Organism they may have Engineered from /Experimented with, a long time ago. How was they Devoloped well again like above we dont know for sure, we dont know if they was created from the Goo in the Urns, the Goo from the Start of Movie or if the Goo was created from them. Or indeed if they and/or the Goo was created from some other Organism that is Genetically related to the Xeno, we just dont know for certain. Only things we can be almost sure of are. The Space Jockey and the Eggs in Alien have been there for Ages and this event does not happen after Prometheus, and certainly does not involve Shaw or David. The Xeno to some degree at least has been known and even contained and experimented with by the Engineers at least Thousands and maybe Millions or Years Ago.

As far as Prometheus : Paradise goes... Well we can be sure that David and Shaw will find the place, and Ridley has hinted at a few things. 1) These Engineers are certainly not God... 2) Ridley did not want to meet God in the first movie, this does not mean they will meet God, but does imply that their is a Hierarchy above the Engineers, is this the Elders or some other Race or Being, maybe we would find out. 3) The place may be called Paradise but Ridley hints that when Shaw goes to find her Answers she will find these guys are not Gods and that Paradise is certainly not Paradise but a living Hell. This means that either the Engineers or whats left of them who who ever or what ever is in charge, is/are certainly not all Benevolent? Or that indeed what may have once been a place ruled by Benevolent beings is either no longer ruled by benevolence or indeed something hostile has happened to had wiped them nearly all out. What ever it is, it implies that their is great Danger for Shaw on the Engineers Home World. 4) That David may help Shaw get to Paradise but she would certainly have to be careful as David may try and exploit his own Agenda. And on top of that we need to look at the movie that has 2 Definite Casted Characters.... Shaw and David, but we have to remember that the Engineers are played by Actors. And i cant see Paradise having a small cast, it would almost certainly have maybe near as much as Prometheus... You see even if Paradise is destroyed or has seen some kind of Catastrophe or War or what ever..... The movie could use a lot of Flash Back Scenes, Scenes depicting the Past, maybe on Earth and maybe not. Just like the opening Scene. Also maybe they will do a side plot that involved Weyland and Yutani at some point in the movie? Whats more who is to say that Mankind is the first and only Humanoid Race the Engineers created. How do we not know if there are more, or indeed if some of their other Humanoid Creations have actually been to Paradise or maybe even had a hand in the Engineers and Elders Downfall. There really is so much Potential..... but i certainly think we could rule out maybe these few... 1) Paradise is over run with a thriving Engineer Population (as well surely after Shaw finds them and they find out about LV 223 even if they are Benevolent surely they would want to interact with us, and thus it would open up a plot hole within the Alien Franchise timeline as there was no Engineers or Contact during any Alien movie. 2) I doubt Weyland Yutani would find Paradise and return back to Earth and Certainly not LV 426 as again it would lead to a plot hole as far as Alien etc goes. 3) I doubt Shaw would find a mass of Xenos, as i dont think Ridley wants to do another Alien movie and so we may see even less links to the Xeno in this movie.

What Bigdave is saying is he doesn't know :P - no body knows yet for sure thats what prometheus was - a big pile of nothing. Tee hee. But yes there are hints. Ill take a big guess and say that the black goo and aliens will most probably be from a super-being or god like being which Ridley talked about. I believe the engineers are just drones controlled by the elders who serve or are in some kind of interaction with this super-being which is were the black goo comes from. Weather the super-being will be a leader or something to the elders or an enemy possibly that they maybe trapped and extracted the goo from? I just get the impression that there will be one super-being from the clues thrown out: 1) they talked about the super-being in the viral campaign 2) the black goo / alien species appears to be a way of spawning new life letting it evolve new abilities and then is ready to be collected. 3)if your collecting new abilities / DNA etc. surely its to take back to the home world to add to a super-beings overall 'perfection'. Although weather its an elder and separate to the god like super-being thing I cant decide ( as a guess of course ). The super-being is and wont be the god that we see in religions as Ridley has already said but it will be god like and not very nice apparently :S . Also I wonder if it had a hand in destroying the engineers and elders and that's why they stopped coming to earth etc. . Interesting stuff if they nail it. I must admit I actually know someone whos going to be working on the new one but he wont tell me shit - infact he doesn't know anything yet -bah!

LOL Yeah Pretty Much no body knows where the movie is going and i am pretty sure Ridley may not be completely sure where to go, they have a rough idea but with so many possibilities the story really is open. Thats what my answers above was pointing out, i never said that i know for sure what the movie would be about. I only listed clues to what Ridley had hinted at. And in a nutshell, it will be about Shaw and David going to these place called Paradise where it will turn out to be far from Paradise and certainly the Engineers are not God. But as Ridley said he dont not want to meet God in Prometheus does not mean he will in Paradise or indeed who ever he implies will not be God as in the sense of the Magical Man in the Sky that Shaws Faith beleaves in. And as far as the Xeno and where did it come from etc etc, again as i stated in my post. There really is no clear answer, only clear thing is there is some connection between the Xeno and the Black Goo or at very least what was stored on LV 223. And that indeed the Engineers have known about the Xeno for a long time before Prometheus and so they certainly are not created from the events after Prometheus. But as for the whole do they come from the Goo, or Goo from them or what the connection is, we are still none the wiser. But djamelameziane some interesting theories there but again, there have been so many and maybe some of us are close or maybe we are way off the Mark. I do get the impression that maybe as the plot was made for Prometheus they did not 100% have exact explanation that will stick. Lindeloff had implied that the Xeno we all know and love has Human DNA..... but this could be a smoke and mirrors as we all know that the Xeno takes on traits of its Host so a Face Hugger on a Human makes a Xeno that has Human DNA, just as a Dog Face Hugged will produce a Dog DNA Xeno. Again Spaights Draft and Lindeloffs seem to hint and give clues to different explanations for the Goo, and Xeno and connections. End of the day we just dont know and maybe we will never know.. At the very least i think Paradise will just show us more about who the Engineers are or where and who they ultimately worked for and for what reason.

So while this is just a Guess based on Clues and Some Facts... I think the bulk of Paradise will be about (but like we dont know already). 1) What this Home World Paradise is. 2) What culture is left behind there, and if little maybe why. 3) More of a look of who the Engineers are and the Elders and there relationship. 4) The Engineers/Elders purpose and Agenda, why they create life and why they created it on Earth. 5) Why did they leave us clues to the outpost on LV 223 and did they used to visit mankind and why did they stop. Things we may find out about could also be... 6) Why was LV 223 outpost set up, what was its original intention, was it always a test facility for some Bio Weapon. 7) Why ultimately the Engineers wanted to reset to destroy us. 8 ) Is there some other being that is above the Engineers and Elders and who created them. And finally things we may not really find out as maybe they want to go further away from Alien. 9) Explanation of where the Xeno came from and its connection with the Mural on LV 223 and the Urns. 10) What happened to the Space Jockey on LV 426, why did he have that Cargo and where was he going with it. Those last 2 things i am not sure we would get answers certainly as far as Paradise goes. But the movie will try and cover i think the first 5 statements above and maybe to some degree also the next 3 (6-8) But we cant rule out any part of the movie that will cover the Weyland Corporation we just dont know, as so far it appears the Bones of this movie will be.... Who the Engineers are/was, where are they from, what is their Agenda, why they created us and who created them etc.

Well, the events in the alien films are just episodes somewhere in the same universe and timeline. Prometheus is starting a new series, which as it relates to aliens, describes the nuts and bolts of the universe, and in this will be a vision of some things that answer some big questions. These answers are intended to be frightening, and unsettling. I think the next film would do well to have two separate stories going on, taking turns between characters. Shaw and David and what they find is one, and what most would consider the main story, but facing reality one has to see that appealing to fans of aliens who were disappointed by Prometheus, a separate team of humans newly arriving on LV 223 can encounter the deacon that burst from the engineer, and uncover more things on that moon. Prometheus was only the beginning, giving fire again to man, and whereas with Shaw the audience will get the deeper mysteries answered and put to them, on LV 223 there can be battle to be remembered, with all the horrifying aspects many people would love! That's the smartest way to do the movie anyway.

Yeah thats a good idea and i do think we will have some kind of plot that would show Weyland Yutani and how this company was formed, and maybe what happens when the companies send out a mission to find out what happened to Prometheus. Will it be a side plot in Paradise? I am not sure i feel most would deal with the Engineers Homeworld, who they are where they are from etc etc and Shaw and David and our creation etc. But at the end of the movie, certainly a scene or few that would lead way to a 3rd movie that would maybe cover the after math of what Shaw and David find/get up to while then covering what becomes of LV 223, and Weyland Corp after Prometheus and Paradise.

Pandoras box has been opened. So the sequel could take us to a hellish, nightmarish world where we discover that 'the creator' is more Devil than God. The possibilities are pretty much endless as of now. Oh & that freakin green crystal better be explained........otherwise heads will roll!!! :-D @BigDave- welcome back, it's always great to read your posts!
