David's Understanding of the Engineer's Language

I agree i would rather us find not many Engineers or Elders, or maybe none... but see them in Flash Back scenes etc. They could tell a lot of the tale and get Answers Shaw wants via recordings like the Ghost Engineers and many Artifacts, Murals and Statues etc and Hieroglyphs, of which David can Translate. If David could translate most of the ones in Prometheus he surely would have been able to make some sense of the writings up on the Walls of the Temple and those on the Console and Cryo Pods on the Juggernaut. So if the Engineers had written some clues about what was going on or in the Urns then yes David would have had some idea what was going on. But he kept most to himself..

To boldly go where no Holowgraphic projection has gone before. Weyland was on a one way trip and David serves as an assistant to deliver information and collection. Emphasis on ASS-ist...in helping the company. For sure we the viewer are not allow to be privy to that information as well but to know it's going back home! That musical instrument scene was cool, you got to sing your way to paradise as well as have a built Romanesque physique. The only thing I didn't like was it was a plain old flute and not a Gigeresque Toot Floot from demonsion XYZ.

It's not just seeing a Glitch in the Matrix it's entering into the Door Of Time, which is the EYEris of a quantum computer. Like Captain Power just got digitized but your not sure if he was vaporized, you just have to give it a shot.

David knows alot more than he was letting on of course. The language the Engineers speak is ancient proto-Sanskrit Indo-European with maybe ancient Sumerian mixed in between. I dont want Paradise to be a barren landscape with no Elders or young Engineers that would suck. You gotta have at least some that still inhabit the planet. They should land on a part of Paradise thats like an empty ancient Giger like city but with pyramids and temples. Then Shaw and David will explore and then find out that they're still there plotting and still seeding worlds.

I would think they would find some rememants of the Elders and maybe Engineers but i dont think there would be a fast many of them.. i dont see how a movie would work if they ended up on a World that has thousands of Engineers etc Alive.... But who is to say we would see any or many? Maybe they find some other being, as Ridley etc had hinted that they never wanted to find GOD in the first movie and hinted that what ever they find will not be Benevolent at all.
