ok. so i've read other post about these "strange men" and how some people even went as far as to say that dark angels. thats pretty interesting if ridley was taking it that far he should consider that those angels were kicked out of heaven because of beautiful women...( cough cough shaw) that could draw more female views but dont over dramatize it so the guys won't hate it.

Hey jazzette_1, welcome to the forums! I think I understand what your point is, correct me if I'm wrong.... ...By referring to the Engineers as "Dark Angels", we can also consider them "Fallen Angels", and the first of them all, going by Biblical scripture was Lucifer / Satan - who was described as being the most "beautiful Angel in Heaven" before being cast out when he tried to rebel against God. It is noticeable, clearly that the Engineers represent purity in the form of aesthetics - having next to no fat and a ripped physique - the "ideal" body so to speak. Having nearly transparent white skin is also another representation of purity - however the Engineer at the end of Prometheus, coming off as the "Evil" Engineer, was covered in an "unnatural" and "dark" bio-suit - symbolizing evil and impurity. I think that's what you're trying to convey, if so lemme know if I'm on the right track. If I am on track, it's a great concept and surely one that was considered when they were designing what the Engineers should look like.

Well, I'm a heterosexual male, but I do consider the engineers to be quite handsome. Maybe we'll see some hot engineer chicks in Paradise...

the engineers are part based on Elvis Presleys facial features so it isnt totally surprising they could be considered 'Oddly Attractive'

I think when Ridley mentioned Dark Angels... I think he could be refering to the fact that the Engineers may have at one point been a Benevolent Race who created us for a purpose which we dont know... And that when he meant Dark Angels he must mean that the Engineers on LV 223 for the most part represented a fraction of Engineers who at some point had rebelled or disagreed with the Agenda of the Benevolent fraction and these LV 223 Engineers wanted to destroy the creation of the Benevolent fraction. This could indicate some power struggle and War between fractions of Engineers... or indeed maybe that the Engineers or a fraction had rebelled against their creators and some Engineers sided with their creators while others do not... But then Ridley also hinted that the God like being/s that Shaw would find would be far from Benevolent so that assumes that what they find on Paradise would be Evil and just as Dark Angels.... This could mean however that at some point the fraction that decided to become Evil, had overthrown the other Benevolent fraction on Paradise and then proceeded to plot to destroy mankind by setting up or changing LV 223 to a Bio Weapons Division. I would not be surprised if their was some conflict and a fraction of Engineers had created or came across some Organism they used against the other fraction or/and their creators... and that they then deemed this Weapon to Hostile to control and used LV 223 as a attempt to re-weaponise it into a safer and more versatile form that they would then test on Earth... It could also be that they came across this Organism during the War and that they then proceed to use it on LV 223 to test and then final test it on Earth, then they would use the Weapon if proved successful against some other adversary be that on Paradise or elsewhere. The Fact they are calling it Paradise, indicates it was once a wonderful place that our creators had came from, and that it was once a Paradise and place where these Gods came from.... But Ridleys other comments indicate that the place is no longer a Paradise but a Hell...

As far as the Attractive look.... Well i think they was going for a form that is Humanoid and one that has a Symmetrical Masculine yet Feminine features. And psychically near perfection.... The Bible and other Religions does say that what we interpret as angels where Beautiful and near Perfect... And it describes Lucifer as being Perfect in every way, and that he is so handsome that none can resist his charm and looks.... He was the most high and favored of all Gods creations, he was Gods number 2 and God Foolishly gave him a gift no other had before and that was ultimately supreme freewill and knowledge of all things.... This made Lucifer able to act and think for himself and gave him the ability to not consider God as his supreme, he then became full of Pride in how Perfect he was and how he had all knowledge and free will to a point that unlike the other Angels he did not see God as greater. He began to realize why should God have ultimate dominion and control over all Angels... And he believed he could be equal to God and even that others should not bow to God and his dominion but be given free choice that Lucifer had... So he plotted to persuade half of the Angels that they need not follow God, and that Lucifer could offer them a better rulership without the boundaries of Gods rule. He then was able to give those Fallen Angels Knowledge and free will, while half did not give into this temptation and stayed loyal to God... God created mankind, as another attempt to create a perfect being and follower, in the image of the Angels and God.... Lucifer was jealous of this, as ultimately Adam and Eve where created for the Angels to serve and watch over, but Lucifer saw them as inferior to him as he saw himself as equal to God and even better. And he would not bow down to see Adam and Eve as Gods favored creation. He then tempted Adam and Eve to eat from the Tree of Life that allowed Adam and Eve to be granted the same freedom of will and knowledge that he had, and this action was a betrayal by Adam and Eve. So God cast them out of Eden and for them to dwell the Earth with Lucifer and his minions and never to be allowed savoir to live forever in Paradise with and under the watchful eyes of the Angels.
