Well it could make him all the more disturbing if done right. One minute he looks so human the next you realise he's totally not. Anyway just would like to see more weirdness from him next part. I wonder if the writers are thinking about whats in the news like this in relation to prometheus. ..

Whats even more Scary is what if the Most Powerful nations employed the best Scientists and they stopped investing in other countries with Aid etc, they stopped invading countries and going to wars. The money saved plus money used to fund War and Defense and search for Oil etc etc.. If all that effort thats put into Oil and Defense was put into advances in Genetic Engineer and Robotics and we ignore the Moral Implications with regards to cloning and genetic research then it would be shocking how far we could come in 10 and 20 years. I the US funded as much effort as it does in Weapons Systems and Arms and Oil, on Robotics and Genetics then indeed having at very least Artificial limbs like we see in so many Sci Fi movies would be common place, such as Luke Skywalkers Hand, in fact we can do this stuff now but with more investment it would be as advanced as in Sci Fi. And we could also had reached making real Androids, and i dont mean as real as David as his skin and hair and expressions are very Human. But certainly robotics like off movie I-Robot would been possible or Terminator.... Only the Human Skin and Appearence would not look so real or feel so real... But Certainly fully functioning ones that look like this with maybe more movement would not be beyond our means.. Well yes I heard up to 75 percent of the total governments annual spenditure is on the military in the us and theres other things like you say. Which all ties into my other thread were I was talking about how the engineers appear to not evolve and there can be many reasons like the ones we can already see I just hope they explain this later on... Although I have to say change and evolution isnt always a good thing it needs wisdom as well we do seem to be playing with stuff well beyond our intelligence I just hope no one messes up big time doing it all! :O

Yeah my original post may seemed harsh on other nations i.e helping with Aid... What i meant is that if say the USA only looked after itself and all money spent on other countries it gives out and spends including defending and the costs of the Wars in Middle East, if this was saved and they invested the same amount they spend on Oil Exploration etc and Military that they have combined over last 25 years on Genetic Research and Robotics over the nest 25 then it would be hard to imagine how far such things would Evolve.

Erm I dont think you need to worry about aid lol the US gives about 0.2 percent of its GDP like I was saying up to 75 percent is spent on military (though in times of relative peace like now I think it's like 20 percent). Sweden give 5 times as much percentage wise which is amazing given they don't have much to play with.

Britian gives aid to a lot of countries, Africa and India being just two of them and India's one of the richest countries in the world, they've even got a space project while the poor are still just as poor. The African poor don't see a penny of it either, so what's the point in giving them aid? Don't get me wrong, I'm all for helping people but if the needy are not benefiting from it, then it would be better spent on science and medicine here!

Ah yer theres allot of corruption but allot is used well. And the uk is stopping aid to india in 2015 anyway. But again its about 0.6 percent aid of GDP so its nothing compaired with most costs ie military etc....

Well never meant for this to change topic lol.... My point was that some of the powerful nations in the World have vast amounts of Wealth and lot of money is spent on foreign interest. I guess main point is if you look at the total money a country like the USA makes, if this income was spent solely on its self and the amount that is used in interventions in other countries was invested in advancements in Genetics and other Tech then things would advance faster. But then some of the money that goes into other countries end up benefiting the US anyway. Back to the Topic, there are many advancements being made, we are now growing Brain Cells, can grow in labs Body Parts. But the research that goes into these as far as $$$ and Time and Effort is no where near as much as goes into Military and Defence or exploiting the Worlds Last Fossil Fuels. Imagine if the world all got along, peace no Wars, and so no need to invest and spend in weapons etc... Imagine if all the Worlds Nations then use the money that saves to then invest in Genetic and Scientific Advancements and also into renewable Energies. But at the end of the day, for some countries Wars and Weapons makes money, and so does trying to Monopolizing what limited Fossil Fuels are around. If the powerful nations had over last 20 years invested as much into none fossil fuels as it does trying to acquire and maintain fossil fuels then we would have clean renewable energy now. There are various ways of getting free fuels, but we are always told the only non fossil fuels we can harvest are Wind Power, Water Power i.e like Wind only current/flow of Water that produces power. And Bio Fuels..... oh and Solar... Well there are ways to get vastly more from Solar as they can and have much more efficient Solar Panels, they could have Stations in Space that have such things and beam the Power down via Micro Waves.... We can even exploit Water as a unlimited fuel... But all these wont happen anytime soon, simply because they would make Oil/Gas as worthless as Rain Water and that would cause havoc on the World Economy.

Also the technology behind 3D Printers could come on leaps and bounds... Scientists say that in 20 years time we would not be limited to just types of Plastics, but other materials could be made from smaller particles and machines could even make their own parts and assemble them.... How long before machines can thus self repair themselves. They also say that in 50 years time we could produce organic materials from similar process, which basically means in 50 years time they believe we would have basic replicators like from Star Trek. And you have to imagine if such advances was given priority over other things such as investments into deffence and fossil fuels then it would advance much faster.... Potentially helping to reduce world hunger and also a near unlimited clean renewable fuels...... Guess that those are not the priority of many World Elites at the Moment..
