Prometheus 2 - Paradise lost...
In the beginning we see earth, ancient times. Zooming in on Atlantis, where most of humanity resides.
Black goo containers rain down over the city, infecting the humans, males, who become hostile to all other males, and starts fighting. The females becomes strangely calm. (Waiting for the winner to emerge as to impregnate them, to create aliens)
One engineer, seeing the mayhem, goes into the pyramid at the center of the city, communicating to someone the success. After seeing the ship disappear, he looks philosofically in the distance, before he sets off a self destruct sequence that ultimately destroys everything in sight, including the island the city resides on.
The small remaining pockets of humans scattered around the world are left on their own.
----------------
Returning to "present" we see the engineer ship commandered by shaw and david. Shaw waking up from cryostasis.
David greets her with:
-We're here.
Outside is a small moon, but as we get closer, it is apparant it's either a completely artificial structure, or a moon that's been completely covered in various constructions. Many domes, seemingly harboring life, in particular vegetation.
Several pyramids can be seen, aswell as one that is obvious bigger than the rest.
Unknown to Shaw and David, this is the religious center for the engineers.
With the linguistic skills of david, they manage to land their ship at one of the smaller pyramids.
After leaving the ship, the site is eerily quiet. Making their way through to the big pyramid, they encounter clues to the engineers, and find that they have a religious cast, where the most religious and most disciplined and most intelligent(zealots) becomes the ones that designs, makes and administer the black goo. Their belief prohibit them from using computers, the automatic systems they do use, while obvious being robust, are "like pocketcaclulators" according to David. They deduce that the engineers tried to recreate what they believe were their creators, and humanity were at the final step to be turned into aliens. (However, they do not realise the nature of the aliens, or hoped a few millenia of evolution would take care of that) They also deduce that they actually thought they administered the goo already. The engineer in prometheus carried out the mission, believing he succeeded and went into cryostasis awaiting the creators to return. Which is why he tried to go back to fix his mistake.
There are not many engineers around, all of them in cryostasis. The gardens in the domes are various paradises. Most with plenty of fresh fruits etc. But some with nasty surprises...
It turns out humans are not the only species developed by the engineers. Atleast one other ship has already arrived at the moon, but no longer carrying any living beings, only their version of the alien...
In the midst of fleeing this nightmare, another ship is seen arriving at the moon. This time it is a few engineers. They seem unaware of anything going on entering the moon complex, and pretty soon encounter a live alien, which they initially hails like a god, which the alien takes advntage of and quickly decapitates their front man.
Eventually, a surviving engineer and Shaw/David meet. Turns out the engineer is not a zealot, but rather member of a cell of dissenters, infiltrating the religious cast. It was one of his comrades that prevented humanity from being annihilated in the opening sequence.
In the end they manage to destroy the moon, and all with it.
Shaw and David barely escapes...

MemberOvomorphOct-23-2013 5:45 PMThank you for sharing this plot, Tommy. But remember that Ridley Scott shot a very particular Paradise in (Legend 1986 film), a real pleasure to eyes, my question is: Is he able to develop us something entirely different, a darkness heaven?
