2.answer and ground part 1. I think it's actually possible to get the haters on board and patch up the mess of the first part with a few explanations. Not everything needs explaining of course. Even the lovers have admit lindelof leaving the show means they were not happy with what happened.
3. A big twist - I reckon twists -things you never see coming really make a film. And I can think of a few that would be great.
4. Yes we need to know about engineers and elders in this one and a hint of the nasty god type alien but that one will be in part 3 in full glory.
5. A view of what else is out there 100's 1000's maybe millions of other levels of types of aliens. Kind of an opening up of the universe of whats going on but not everything of course. Maybe the engineers have only seen part of the milky way and not traveled to other galaxies but the god like thing has. Needs to be a sense of scale.
6. I think maybe it would be fine to go back and use the old ways from alien as a style -ridley always likes to move on to new ways of doing his fulms style wise. But sometimes if it aint broke dont fix it works too!
7. I think they should patch up and think the story through to part 3 now and make it all make sense -tiz doable!
8. Epic battles between the elders and the god like being. :D
9.make the sj an elderand make it look the same -exactly the same only this time the suit and flesh are one -different to engineers.
10.maybe a flash back to how engineers did stuff on earth: sending a meteor down to kill dinosaurs because they wanted to cultuvate other life forms type stuff - opening scene? :P
"It's almost as if they are making it up as they go along" :D

Why was the engineers smaller then the sj in alien ??
What is the exact origins of the facehuggers ? Genetically engineered from some other creature ?
Was the temple the engineers work or did some other ancient civilisation build it ??
why they wanted mankind detroyed and why was the engineer surprised to find books and page through it like someone who has never seen human civilisation ?

2. More Engineers - maybe there are different factions.
3. Explain the Prometheus crew and some character's actions - maybe they were hired because of what appeared to be flaws/odd behavior.
4. Show more black goo reactions so it is not explained directly, but we will have more data to determine how it works.
5. Have a parallel story of Weyland joining Yutani and investigating what happened to Prometheus crew.
6. Show what happened of the Deacon.
That's what I can come up with off the top of my head.

2) A huge xenomorph, bigger than the queen, bred from a space jockey who just looks plain EVIL, nasty, and that is EXTREMELY hard to kill.

MemberOvomorphOct-30-2013 3:48 PM1: better characters. other then David and maybe the captain i didn't find any of the other characters that interesting, i should be invested when someone dies!
2: more alien like designs, i was disappointed with the way fifield looked when he was mutated, just looked like a zombie, his alternate form in the deleted scene however was much better, more original design that also visually showed that he was being mutated by the alien DNA.
3:this time before you start work on the movie, refine and rewrite the script at least one more time, i feel like that would have fixed a lot of the problems i have with prometheus.
4: an interesting story
5:explain things better, mystery is good but there is a difference between mystery and just not telling us anything.
6: give it a good ending, it doesn't need to be the last film of the series, but its ending should be good enough so that people are satisfied even if there was not another movie coming out.
and thats it really, only 6.

MemberOvomorphNov-01-2013 12:35 AM1. Shaw re-assembles David. He then proves to be trustworthy, and committed to the future survival of the human race.
2. Some members of the crew to die in the first film are brought back to life by the engineers, including Holloway, Janek, and Vickers.
3. A new crew from Earth arrives on LV 223 and meets "the deacon" and much more there.
4. Shaw gets "her answers", and she is welcomed to stay on the engineer home world but they will not let her leave with one of the engineers' ships.
5. Among the answers revealed, the engineers did not choose to destroy humanity. Quite the contrary, as Shaw guessed, the drawings were left as a map inviting humans of the distant future to come and find the engineers.
6. This said, things went wrong for the engineers, both on LV 223 and in many other places in the galaxy. The engineers reveal that while they are very advanced, and they "seeded" many worlds with life, they were neither the first to do so or are they the most powerful beings in the galaxy.
7. Earth developed by itself, "unseeded", contrary to Shaw's guess.
Human DNA actually had its beginnings on Earth, not with the engineers but with the first humans. The engineers are essentially "genetically engineered, super humans", who serve a being not dissimilar to a deity but who explains to Shaw that he is only a servant of the one true God.
8. Shaw is told that humans from Earth will eventually be invited to join an interstellar federation of planets, not dissimilar from that in Star Trek. In the meantime, the engineers will not interfere in their affairs.
9. Shaw makes a decision, with David, to help protect humanity and the most positive future promised, so they travel with the resurrected crew to a world with enemies of Earth and everyone.
10. They manage to thwart an invasion of "the space to later become 'the core systems'", mentioned in Aliens, only no one from Earth hears of this until centuries later.

What is or was the significance of the green crystal in the "big head" room and WHY oh WHY did "they" create a clearly HUMAN head?
Please, no more STUPID scientists. Any 5th grader knows you don't remove your environmental protection (helmet) in a foreign, hostile environment.
Lindelof (or a facsimile) must be face-hugged and chest-bursted onscreen for his ridiculous screenplay in the first film.
The Space Jockey on LV-426 needs to have his story told regardless of what it takes. The story requires some narrative which more clearly connects Prometheus to the original Alien.
David turned out to be a dick - nothing new here, Ridley always turns his robots into dicks (see Ash, Roy, Pris, Leon). But if he is going to accompany Shaw he needs to define up front who side he is on. No more ambiguity regarding his "feelings".
I'm sure I can think up another dozen or so but that is the best I can do while at work.

MemberDeaconNov-01-2013 8:06 AMWell as Prometheus showed us these Engineers seeded life on Earth or other World then we have to wonder are we the only ones?
There us so so so much potential....
But Ridley has hinted at clues....
1) Ridley said the idea of Prometheus (not inc Spaights draft) was primarily to show us who these Engineers are and to answer who the Space Jockey was...
This did not mean answer LV 426 Derelict just show us who the Pilot was, what Race his was and his connection to the Xeno.
They did this by showing us they was Large Humanoids in Space Suits who had possessed various kinds of Bio Warfare that all are connected in some way.. Goo/Egg.
2) Prometheus gave us some clues but left many questions and we never really got to see much of these Engineers, especially the Cut that Ridley said his is only and final one, so we never got to see their culture etc... But there could be a reason for that and it could be that Ridley wanted to leave as much about these Engineers out of Prometheus keep them and their Agenda a Enigma, and the deleted scenes not being shown could indicate that a revamp and design on the Elders their culture their Agenda and the purpose of the Engineers could be changed...
3) The movie would primarily focus on Shaw and David and there search for Paradise the Engineers well their creators Home World. Shaw has Questions..
Why was we created?
Who created the Engineers?
Why did they want us destroyed?
The Movie will focus on these points.
4) Ridley said any further movie would steer away from Alien, and by this i also mean the Xeno and we may not get any clues as to where the Xeno came from.
My hunch is from Ridleys comments, he never wanted to meet God in the first movie. And God is not what we would thing God to be...
Quite what God or the Gods will be we can only imagine, but the whole reason for removing some scenes does to me point out that Ridley was not impressed with the Elders?
Maybe also how they appeared smaller and less awe inspiring than the Engineer.... And if we assume the Sacrificial Engineer was about same size as the last Engineer or even a little larger, it would shown the Elders to be the same size as the Last Engineer or smaller.
Ridley must know the reaction to the Engineers has been negative as far as the size.... The drafts and concepts showed a 12-15ft race that was then reduced to a 9-10ft one that well on screen failed to Fool some of us...
It only portrayed a Race of 8-9ft Beings Tops....
So why is the Space Jockey 15ft then?
Maybe Ridley has cut the Elder scene to redesign them...
Many of the Last Engineer scenes cut, so that what we saw on screen was basically a angry goon, hell bent on carrying out his order to destroy mankind.
The deleted scenes and ones we never saw showed a different look to the Engineer......
For me this is done on purpose...
You see take out those deleted scenes and what we get is this...
We do not know who sent the Sacrificial Engineer to Sacrifice himself, we dont know what they appear like or how large they are.
The movie seems to show the Engineer was not that independent and thus basically more like a Android like David..
This to me shows me that there is some race maybe the Elders that will be revamped, and that they created the Engineers to perform certain tasks for them.
Now the Space Jockey could be the Elders, but why would they create Engineers to conduct tasks such as work with the Goo not only as a Bio Weapon but also to sacrifice themselves.
If these Elders have little respect for the lives of the Engineers and basically they are all expendable, why would a Elder take on a even deadly task of carry a Cargo of Eggs?
Only logical explanation is the Elders created the Space Jockeys as well, If the Engineers are compared to Angels, or in Anunnaki tales Engineers are Igigi.... Then maybe the Engineers was bred or some other means with Mankind to create what the Bible calls Nephilim or Giants....
Now that could explain another race of 12-15ft beings that are created to maybe carry out even more dangerous tasks, such as transport the Xeno Eggs?
Maybe these Hybrid Giants warned us of the Engineers and how they and there creators are Evil SOB's Maybe these Space Jockeys was at War with the Elders, and both sides had fractions of smaller Engineers on their side?
who knows?
I think Ridley is aware of a discrepancy between the 15ft Space Jockey and the supposed 9ft Engineers that actually was 7-8ft tall.
When the idea was this giant race of 10-12 foot Humanoids who created us etc....
These are all things that can be addressed in Paradise, thus a revamp of the Elders and other Engineers to fit in with original idea of the creators from the Drafts and Concept Work and the Space Jockey.

MemberDeaconNov-01-2013 8:45 AMOk i will have a crack at 10 things but will be as realistic to the movie outcome as i can, well as i assume... by that by answers will have to bold with what Ridley said thus no Xeno explanation fest...
I think the movie would be more a mystery ans sci fi than a action horror...
1) I hope we see some scene of David putting Shaw in Cryo Sleep and some dialog before she does, maybe how she assembles David. As Shaw is bound to be a bit skeptical of David. We should see the Juggernaut Orrey in action and see it flying through space.
2) I would like at some point to see some Flash Backs to answer some of the questions Shaw wants answers to, these do not have to be directly answered to Shaw.
For example, just how we was Shown the Sacrificial Scene in Prometheus i would like to see some scenes of the Engineers/Elders etc, maybe showing us some events that occur after the Sacrificial Scene and the reason for why and how the many Clues in Cave Paintings had occurred.. Show us Engineer interaction with Early man and some of their culture.
This can be done just as the Sacrificial Scene...
Or it could be done when they get to Paradise and its either David translates some Hieroglyphs then we see flash back event, or they come across a Engineer/Elder who tells them and we see flash back event.
3) We find that Paradise is in a bit of state of destruction, its derelict with ruins etc and not a vast sign of a Empire intact. This would answer some plot inconsistencies as to why they never came back or investigated what became of LV 223.
4) As David and Shaw explore whats left, they come across some Hologram recordings giving clues to what may had befallen the Engineers? And we also get again via David Translate more cuts scenes and flash backs, this time in the past on Paradise.
5) We find out the original reason for LV 223, and that it is not purely a Weapons Facility but that it was a watch post that the Engineers could watch over our development.. But some conflict be that internal or something we did made them decide to change the Watchers Out Post to a Weapons plant to create and test a Bio Weapon. But we only need to know the purpose we do not need to know much about the Xeno etc. Not in detail.
6) Would like to see Shaw have dreams in her Hyper Sleep, give more back ground to her, maybe she has memories of Holloway, her mother and father and this could be a ideal time to give Sigourney a Cameo in that we could be shown that after the death of Shaws Father she was put into the care of her Auntie, and this is Sigourney could even have surname Ripley. Now we would see a 60+ year old Ripley, now Prometheus is set some 28 years or so before Alien thus Ellen Ripley would only be a child thus when Shaw was a child Ripley would not even be born in fact she would be born what some 20 years or so latter than when Shaw was orphaned. So i would like to see Sigourney play the role of Shaws Auntie and now Legal Guardian, show Shaw as Girl playing with another young girl. Show latter Sigourney to die when Shaw is a Teenager, then show the Girl Shaw was with have a child and call her Ellen.
Thus this would show some history of Shaw growing up after her fathers death, it would also show that Shaws Auntie is Ripley from Alien etc Grandmother.
7) I hope Shaw and David to find some remains of Engineer, and get to meet their creators. Maybe they could hint at many creations they had made. These beings would at first appear sympathetic to Shaw, but they have a hidden Agenda.. And wish to submit Shaw to horrors, and they also have not so good plans for David.
8 ) We find out that the Engineers was a slave race created by these God like beings and the Elders was too and either Elders are the Space Jockeys i.e taller Engineers or that indeed the Space Jockeys was created by the Engineers or Elders. So we see Elders are created by some other being, and also as well as Elders we have Engineers and also a taller race of Engineers who both are just Pawns in the Elders and Gods plans.. But a rebellion occurred.
9) I would have then David unleash Hell on these Gods/Beings and that being the Goo, and we could see some horrific creation made. But David and Shaw escape Paradise at the end...
10) We need to see a side plot, as surely the execs at Weyland would want to know what became of Prometheus, what happens now Weyland and Vickers are gone?
Surely the Company knew something of the LV 426 signal, and surely if they or Yutani send a mission to find out what become of Prometheus they would come across, maybe information David sent back and also Shaws SOS...
So what becomes of LV 223 from end of Prometheus to Alien?
Maybe this is where Part 3 could explore.
I would have many questions left from Paradise, i would answer some from Prometheus but leave more Mystery.... And we find out these beings are still in other areas of the Galaxy.

Finally, all this could be on top of a plateau (as the Mount Roraima).

- Why they want to destroy us?
- Do the engineers are almost extinct? and if so why?
- Someone has created them? and if so who?
- The Deacon is a biological weapon or our next evolutionary leap? (sometimes to create one must first destroy)
4) A return to LV-223, but as a less important story, unless it is somehow connected with the main story.

MemberOvomorphNov-02-2013 9:48 AMWhat Svanya said. David was undoubtedly the focal point of the movie, and witj good reason. He was the single greatest (and best-acted) character i have ever had the pleasure to be introduced to.
What i DON't want is a sequel that serves to 'spell out' the first movie for us- the ambiguity is part of the beauty of Prometheus. We see it as the characters do. Walking into an alien world with a limited understanding, just like them.
The characters certainly wouldn't understand everything about this place/these beings (except maybe David) and neither should we- again; this isn't James Bond.
As Memento did an amazing job of presenting the movie the way Leonard sees the world (no memory of what came before) so does Prometheus put us in the character's shoes.

More character development, if you show other vessels that aren't hi-tech research vessels make sure they have the Alien aesthetic in mind.
Yutani perhaps? You certainly need more human characters, I don't see it working with Shaw and David alone.
Better soundtrack, not that Prometheus was bad but it's not as memorable as I'd like.

The Engineer was intrigued, his reaction raised a lot of questions and maybe gave a lot of answers..... such as did he survive purely because he did not want us dead? And sabotaged the mission... but when he saw we could now find their facility and how Weyland gave him the impression that indeed Mankind can not be trusted getting their hands on their Tech... This left him no choice to destroy us.
Ridley re-shot a scene and cut parts out to make him well POSTAL for little reason.....
There must be a reason that the Engineers are portrayed now as simply Mean Nasty Angry SOBs.... And also why there is no Elder Scenes....
This cut is the final and thus we have to forget what those Elders looked like and what the deleted Engineer scene shows...
This points to a redesign for the Elders, and a new outlook for the Elders being purely Tools for the Elders Agenda....
Basically making the Engineers more a David than another member of their same race... i.e created to serve a purpose for the Elders.
So yes here is what we must now accept...
Engineer is awoken, he is startled after being in Cryo Sleep for thousands of years...
David says something to him that rattles his cage, he realizes David is not real and thus created by Mankind and so decides to rip his head off and take out Weyland who the Engineer must know, is the leader and one who told David what to say.
Then Engineer gets shot at and goes postal.
The crew of Prometheus prevent his mission and his ship crashes and injuries the Engineer in process, he discovers that Shaw has survived and is on the Life Boat and off he goes to attempt to put a stop to her and then go get on board and another Ship to carry on his mission.
Or that was his plan before Shaw released her Baby on him....

I think the reasons we dont see that in Prometheus is because the Deacon was not born as result of a traditional Face Huger.
It was born via a Face Huger Hybrid that was also Human DNA and Xeno...
Hence the teeth, hence the hands being Human looking, and why it was born near fully developed and had a placenta just as Human Child are Born.
If we visit LV 223 then i expect to see a more Human Xeno than going back to the traditional look..

There was some discussion over being depressed over the light success of Prometheus and his brother's suicide. Feel bad for the guy but he needs to help himself out too.

better film but the production company would not spend the
money. In fact I know Scott had much larger sets involved
and he got turned down and we got a movie that looks good
but does not have logical continuity.
3. This is obvious I want to see where the Engineers
come from, thier home world. This is very important for
me infact I think it is a deal breaker if they try to
get arround this with some bs narrative.
4. I want to see a HARD "R" film this time. These films
were always ment to scare and Prometheus is not scarry
at all. There is scarier stuff in comic books. It would
be great if there were some epic battles between a few
new types of really dangerous Aliens, stuff we have never
seen before and not all that CGI bs.
5. This is asking for a lot. A much bigger budget so Scott
can deliver on not having a 2 hour film in only six or seven
locations.
6. I want more science in the next film period. Lots more
science. I really enjoyed all the technical examinations they
did on the head. In fact I would say that those very few
minutes of film is the best scene in science fiction I have
ever watched in Scifi movie. If the Renaissance masters were
making paintings today they would be making films as well.
there some things that a painting cannot convey. There were
parts of this film that are just as good as any priceless
works of art. Everyone wants to point out this films flaws
but it's not Scotts falt at all.
7. I really do not care if all the plot holes are explained
in the next film as long the important ones are dealt with
and we can all move on to much stronger better film.
8. Creachers and more aliens and yes all out war on an Alien
home world would not be bad at all. I am tired of these stupid
scenes where there is some dialog and it all does nothing to
move the plot forward or introduce something new. Action
Action Action keep it all moving.
9. I want Shaw and David to kick some serious alien behind and
show them we are not thier dubm little trained experiments or
what ever we are to them. I want Shaw and David to cause some
serious hurt to these things.
10. This just an observation that no one else has made and it is
an interesting one. I would like some help starting a small thread
on it so I can start getting to know people here in this community.
Why did they just walk up to the stasis chamber and wake this
Engineer up. Ok here is my thinking. These engineers have the same
DNA as us....thier bodies (cells) should react similarly to
any anesthetic. The should have just given it enough anesthetic
to keep it from waking up and then move it to a confined area for
interrogation and study. They messed this first film up so bad.
Could you imagine how incredible it would have been to trap an
Engineer and talk to it - study it - make it do what you want.
