Hope

Personally, i prefered Terminator 1 to it's sequel. The Empire Strikes Back was defo a step up from the first one and i haven't had the chance to watch the Hunger Games films yet. Sequels to any film, always have the patential to be better than the original, however, i have yet to see a prequel that out does an original.

Maybe we will see some news on Prometheus 2 soon, now that Exodus has moved from the 'filming stage' to the 'post production stage?'

To be honest I don't take imdb rankings very seriously as they are like 90 percent 18 year old American boys doing the voting or something like that. So you need to keep that in mind. It's not an over all representation. 

It's also New that is why something like terminator 1 hasn't got such a high score as its an older fan base. Terminator 1 is much better than 2 but 2 was great. The New star wars films are awful! I saw both hunger games and yes first one was crap second one was pretty good I agree.... 

That is interesting. I wasn't a big fan of terminator, but I know there was a big fan base for a while. You also have to look at the reasons why it was ranked such. Many people did not like Hunger Games because of the children killing children thing, and as such, many outlier rankings conflicted with what it could have got. Terminator is a victim of old age, with the younger generation more interested in newer stuff and not being entertained by classics.

Prometheus 2 has a different writer, so this should address some of the common complaints about the first movie such as dumb character actions and too many questions. So this leaves the possibilities in a sequal wide open and exciting. It could be epic, or it could be a stinker. If Ridley directs, it has a much better chance. For me, after seeing Prometheus for the first time, I was somewhat disappointed and confused. But the more I watched it, the more I loved it, and certain elements make more sense now.
