Blasphemy!! David, that is to say Fassbender, made Prometheus. 

Never has has anyone become a character so thoroughly and so convincingly. He was absolutely brilliant and made Ash, Bishop, Call, fuckin Van Damme, Arnold and anyone who has ever portrayed an android or robot look like a chump.

For me, it's Fassbender or boycot, sorry. 

I'm all about other androids in subsequent movies, but I want the very next one to follow the characters I've already invested in :)

For me, the only acceptable alternative to Fassbender would be Teddy from A.I. Artificial Intelligence. 

I agree, i think Fassbenders performance was great, but i made this thread mainly for if they went to give us more than David Model Androids that Jeremy Sheffield i feel would do a great job as portraying a Android especially when you see how he can portray being very cold.

No matter how hard Fasbender tries he dont have that face to give us cold face that Sheffield can, not saying he is better actor lol..

I think Ridley does at times like to cast little known British Actors and for me, i think Sheffield could well fit in as either a Android or a very cold member of the Weyland Yutani board.

I think the actors performances in Holy Oaks are worthy of him getting a break on the big screen and i would even say only Fasbender and maybe Pearce can out act him.

Mind you a lot of times its about the name and A-list as opposed to tallent that sees you through, i mean look at the Expenables movies lol... you wont catch them winning a Oscar any time soon..

I read an article that Fassbender said there will be multiple davids in the sequel and that the movie is going to possibly involve time travel. This was a theory that many people had about Prometheus. And possibly why the engineers are us. 

i never heard that off him, but i did here a report he was being cast as more than one David 8.

Yes i also heard of the Time Travel Element and it can kind of add to what Ridley said when he said David is bringing Hell with him and that what would happen if the Goo was used on God or a Robot?

I dont like time travel its lazy, and opens a worm hole i mean can of worms.... this way we could see Ripley in Part 2, we could see Weyland back... and well a lot of mess to be honest and we be left with what else could time not change... the Engineers could surely travel in time? or is David somehow the only one who does... because well the Engineers could just then go back and undo the Outbreak and carry on to destroy mankind.

Also the Engineers are us, i dont like either as why would they want to destroy us, if they are us, why go back and do that to forsake themselves unless they know something they do has a profound affect on the Galaxy and we need to be stopped, so we can not lead to them.

It opens up a whole Paradox etc and i dont like that idea its something that has Lindeloff all over it, mind you Pagens writting is like wise...

The only real sense i could see of this would be that yes some how the Godlike beings on Paradise are able to change David, and that then David gets himself infected and becomes the First Xeno or is connected to why the Xeno is more Bio-Tech than the Deacon.

Even have it that David led to the Space Jockey, but in order to do this there needs be time travel as the Space Jockey had been on LV 426 for thousands of years...

BUT A MASSIVE NO TO TIME TRAVEL....

I did however when i saw the trailers etc and little info on Prometheus feel that maybe David would be the Prometheus of the Myth/Movie and that his aim would be that the Engineers granted him to me made more Human/Mortal well Biological like say the pinocchio story.

David steals something that makes him no longer just a Machine, but his price for this theft is he gets infected with Shaws Baby that then spawns the First Xeno...

But alas when the movie came out this was far from the truth.

If I remember correctly Ash wasn't made by Weyland Industries, he was made by Hyperdyne. 

From an industrial design perspective, there can be all sorts of 'other androids' who can be brought into play. Ash was assigned a designation by James Cameron. Hyperdyne systems model 120-A2. Bishop was a model 346 or somesuch. 

Somewhere back there is the first one, and it had to have much of the designwork done well, now, since Charles Bishop Weyland died in 2004.

While there is much investment in android characters, there is much scope to invest in a realistic technological background to create new, but still consistent characters.
