Official : Prometheus 2 is the next Ridley Scott movie !!!

The script is finished, Scott has already started pre-production, Noomi Rapace and Fassbender are available at this period ..

I heard the filming will start in Hungary,I don't know for other locations.

great news of course...ridley rushing things though eeekkk...will be watching the martian of course hope thats a return to form and of course prometheus 2. But still a bit of a wait but hopfully news comes in as it starts of course...please please make sense this time and patch up part 1 fingers tightly crossed...

This is good news, and i am sure when The Martian is out World Wide then Ridley would be more open to spilling the beans a little but then i dont expect he would be giving to much information away.

Be interesting to figure out what kinds of Locations he is looking at, and these could give away some clues as to what we are going to see.... We pretty much know so little of this movie and what kind of Locations would be needed to suit certain elements of the movie.

Are we going to see some Scenes from Earth? These could be Company HQ or Flash Backs we cant be sure but i dont think we would be seeing a Hell on Earth but who knows.

Would we be returning to LV 223, or even its neighbour LV 426? Who knows but i doubt it as far as LV 426 as the movie could be wanting to steer away from Alien.

Could we see some settings on Mars?  Or a Space Station?  Again we cant be sure..

The only things we 100% can be sure of is that we would most likely be seeing interior Shots of a Juggernaught and so maybe Pinewood Studios would be used for that.

And David and Shaw are going to find some World related to our Engineers and meet beings that are involved with the Engineers Agenda the Hierarchy on Paradise!  But as far as if Paradise is a Paradise visually or if its a very dark place we cant be sure but the more information and shooting locations confirmed could give us some clues....  Paradise is described as being more like a Hell but that in no means tells us that the place would be a Horrid Dark, War Torn Place.. it could look like Paradise but then the inhabitants could not be very friendly..

Excited now and i think come about November we could finally be seeing and hearing more clues officially regarding the movie as opposed to the odd comment by Ridley that we have had over the last 3 years about the sequel.

I wonder about schedule of Michael Fassbender. He is about to finish principal photography for X-Men: Apocalypse in the upcoming days, but most probably will start with Assassin's Creed immediately after. How much time will he spent over there (Malta, London...?)? Fingers crossed for January... :-)

X-Men Shooting is Finished, and his Schedule is free about Christmass time... Shooting on a movie depending how many scenes the Actor is in takes anything from 2 weeks to 12 weeks usually...   and we dont know for sure if some Scenes had been shot already be that during the finish of shooting Prometheus or  after when a break in Schedules allowed.

But certainly Main Shooting for January 2016 would be a time that Fassbender would be freed up, i think the main reasons for Prometheus delay could had been his Schedule to be fair.

Agreed. Fassbender is now five times bigger than he was in 2012. That is the fact. :-)

So yeah 5X Bigger would make him kind of the size they Originally wanted to portray the Space Jockey in Alien (26-27ft tall)

Interesting News..... does show the movie is happening and shooting will be next year, this one does say Production to Start Febuary the other Shooting to start January so we shall have to wait and see as i am sure once the Martian is out Ridley will speak out a bit more about the movie but he has left us a lot of clues...

The Main Focus of the movie is where Shaw and David are going and the Answers that Shaw wants, she had proposed a few in Prometheus... why did they create us, why did they change their minds and want to destroy us with what ever they was making on LV 223. Who created them.... these are all things Shaw had asked and wanted to ask from the last movie.

Ridley had said this before, and again in this latest interview he also says so

"You can either say, leave the first film alone and jump ahead, but you can’t because it ends on too specific a plot sentence as she says, I want to go where they came from, I don’t want to go back to where I came from. I thought the subtext of that film was a bit florid and grandiose, but it asks a good question: who created us?"

He then raises Questions about how our Creation was no Accident, which implies a Purpose and Agenda to it, he subtly guides us to it not being a case of Evolution over a large amount of time but that intervention had occuried over and over. This is something he had mentioned at the time of Prometheus release.

He then futher hints that if the Engineers are who Engineered us, via Genetic Seeding no doubt, he ponders that yes if these Engineers peform that task on Terraformed Worlds, then who created or made those Worlds able to support such Life, his comments about our Earth being in the right Sweet Spot could maybe not be pure coinsidence and ponders that there could be many planets likewise thoughout the Galaxy, a comment he made even at the release of Prometheus... now futher added to be saying is Earth the only Place for Humanoid life?  Even Humans? 

I think he has ideas of a Grand Scale and Scope behind all of this... more interesting with this latest interview as it could reach futher than just a bunch of Advanced Engineers going around Seeding suitible Worlds with Life and then visiting them over and over to Evolve such Life.

The Engineers are not at the Top of the Hierarchy this could be pretty much confirmed now from his latest comment.. " If engineers are the forerunners of us, and therefore were creators of life forms in places that were possible for biology to function, who created that? Where’s the big boy? You think this was all an accident?"

Add this to his comment he made when he started to talk about Prometheus 2 not long after the first movie a few years ago.. when he said "i never wanted to meet God in the first movie"

Rappace futher added in a Interview that she is interesting in where Ridley wanted to take us, and would Shaw meet God, or the Devil?  Ridley had refered to the Engineers as Fallen Angels, he had also said that whom ever Shaw meets would not be God in the traditional sense and they would be far from Benevolent.

So yes the potential is there to explore a lot more than a race of Engineers whom created life on Earth..... the scope is now Life on other worlds, even more Humans.. off course this means for a larger cast.

He did in the past say no more Gods and Dragans so i think the whole Ancient Mankind and Religon is going to be played down as far as just our interpretation and that there could be a whole larger picture and more Sinister Agenda at hand!
