Eldon Tyrell and Peter Weyland to David8 paradox?

Centauri
MemberPraetorianMay-30-2016 11:08 PMDoes life imitate art? and vice versa? Now that David8 (the product of Weyland) is becoming more god-like with tampering with the engineer's "Black goo" ...is this creator's paradox?

MemberOvomorphMay-31-2016 6:16 PMnot really a paradox. We don't know yet if David is going to tamper with the black goo yet and it wouldn't make more god like because he is robotic and not organic, the black goo should not have effect on but we would have to wait for covenant for that

MemberPraetorianMay-31-2016 6:31 PMThanks for your feedback @UFONAUT! good point! hence the question....were we organic at one time in our early stages of life as tampered dna experiments by alien engineers? and as time went on, have we become more naturally developed where we can reproduce and also create life thru reproduction and lab manipulation with genes etc.? (were we artificial at our beginnings?, and then grew more organic as we evolved?) yea its alot of fun trying to figure this story out, I cannot wait for the first trailer.....I rememeber the first Prometheus trailer came out many many months before its release...so i hope our eyes are fed soon ;D

MemberXenomorphMay-31-2016 6:33 PMWhat does Tyrell have to do with it? (Besides the nifty picture)

MemberPraetorianMay-31-2016 6:37 PM@ S.M great question! and thank you for your feedback! Tyrell himself is a replicant. So the paradox I was pointing out, was that Bladerunner and Alien exist in the same universe...so Tyrell WAS a man, then died..Tyrell (replicant) took over company.... I wonder if Peter Weyland knew that.... what are your thoughts

MemberPraetorianMay-31-2016 6:40 PMIn the original script of Bladerunner, The Eldon Tyrell killed by Roy Batty was a robot, and the original Tyrell died ages ago and is in a tomb inside the Tyrell corp building (which resembles a pyramid)... Does Peter Weyland know this? was he avoiding that same fate by pursuing the engineers to find out the secret to immortality?

MemberXenomorphMay-31-2016 7:03 PMAny link between Weyland and Tyrell was born out of a Easter egg joke that Charles de Lauzurika put on the Prometheus blu-ray.
I don't regard Blade Runner and Alien as sharing a universe.

Centauri
MemberPraetorianMay-31-2016 7:09 PM@ S.M ...interesting...but I've seen a few interviews where Ridley Scott himself mentioned the shared universe
