MemberFacehuggerDec-28-2016 4:24 AMMy reading of it was that they were referring to the ship's approach into orbit and the planet's atmosphere, which is reminiscent of LV-223. Not the actual terrain.
That said, I've seen stranger things happen like: Weyland stowaway on his own ship; a grand piano along for the journey; the enigma of the space jockey watered down to nothing but a flight jacket. But I digress.

the juggernaut that David and shaw took went into hyper speed right at the end of Prometheus. I highly doubt they turned around and crash landed.
