A:C - 3D or Not?

I'm hearing different things about whether A:C will be released in 3D or not - I've read rumors that it was abandoned early in production, and it's only IMDB that seems to confirm 3D, there's nothing anywhere else.

I haven't heard. Are 3D movies still a thing or has it died down? I never saw a 3D movie.

3d is not that big of a deal any more.Plenty of movies still do it of course but its no longer the a selling point.For the record Prometheus had 3d but that movie was way more special effects driven.If Covenant ends up being 3d than its just a studio decision to make a little more money.

As far as Ridley Scott goes did The Martian have 3d because if it did than Covenant just might.
