Alien Covenant: Super Bowl Trailer

It feels too soon, but then again it's a major marketing opportunity that many would consider foolish to avoid. 

Given the fact how cool Ridley seem in all the interviews I've seen, he might not give in to the temptation, and avoid showcasing another trailer. Risky.

nothing wrong with using the CURRENT trailer during the SB. It's "just right" no need to give anything else away.

Yeah hard to say. I want to say they won't. They'll probably market LOGAN instead given its release is sooner. But they could surprise us. The marketing has slowed right down so maybe they're gearing up for the Super Bowl. We won't have to wait long either way!

Yeah, I agree with you guys but marketing now seems to get an early jump these days. 

I wouldn't expect it, it costs so much to get that big a timeslot on superbowl.

 It would be great but im not watching the super bowl.It's become a bunch of BS the past few years.

Not so sure really, especially if its a Hard R with lots Gore and Horror more than Sci-Fi movie.

Well said BigDave.Alien Covenant is probably not what the super bowl crowd is interested in.Not when there will likely be a bombardment of super heroes.

I agree...though being hopeful but agree that the Super Bowl is not the place for the film. I do imagine they have a pg-13 version of the trailer that will come out some time soon in March perhaps. I guess a lot of the marketing will kick off when they update the Weyland site and start releasing the viral videos and what not.

I agree with March thanks to Logan.Logan being a super hero film will likely be in the super bowl,as Chris had already stated.

Yeah, I dont care for the super bowl as well. I do like some trailers they show and think Fox will show Logan and the Planet of the Apes films as Alien will have its own marketing as it is aimed a select group like us, lol. 

War for the Planet of The Apes should definitely be there.The Super Bowl has become to much of a gimmick.Too much emphasis on the Halftime show and the commercials,not enough on the game itself.

Yeah the new Planet of Apes i think will happen and maybe Blade Runner 2049 and maybe plug Skull Island too?

I think a Star Wars EP8 The Last Jedi teaser is more likely than a AC Green Band.

Yeah, I was being way too hopeful. As for Star Wars, I believe April will be the release for that as Kathleen Kennedy mention I think we will get another Alien AC before Star Wars...at least the viral marketing. 

Yes i think we will start to get AC TV spots and a Green Band Trailer in about 4-6 week period and i would also expect Viral Campaign to start around that time.

Well i at least am hopping its more than the Flawed MUTHUR interface Viral Site.

I do expect the Alien Anthology Twitter Page to be the place all these will break first though...

Question is will it be more clues? too many clues?  clues done as a Red Herring to lead us off the Scent?

Did anyone finally figure out those set of images and the Codes and Relevance?  As only pattern that worked was time frames for the movie as far as Date and Time of Events in context to the year 2104.... which if so, really opens up a debate about the movie time-frame

 Blade Runner 2049 would make it worth watching.

It would be cool to see this:

A 10-15 second snippet

opens with total darkness with a green tint 

then the protomorph or Neomorph moves his head out of the shadows and roars

then black screen with "Run" and the hashtag #AlienCovenant on the bottom of the screen
