Yeah I see an IMDB score of 8.0 or more, I want it to have a 90 something percent on Rotten Tomatoes but I'm thinking 85%.
More of a metacritic guy myself so I predict a critic average score of around 80 and a user average of 8-9 (mostly fanboys like myself lol)
Same goes for RT and IMDB if applicable.
Of course it's hard to predict but it's fun to wildly guess sometimes :D
For RT, it seems a few give zeros or ones with no real elaboration thus skewing a more honest average imo.
My guess is:
Between 7.0 and 8.0 on IMDb
+70% on RT.

Science Fiction Flicks never get the justice they deserve....RT tends to be unnecessarily harsh (Unless they are some sappy drama...)
I'd say the Rotten Tomatoes gets ugly with a 69% an IMDb stands in awe of the Ridley lineage and gives us an 8.0
MTF...
@suwhited I agree with you. LOTS of "critics" seem to be both SciFi and Horror haters, so neither of those genres gets the respect they deserve, so take off about 10-20% of the score one of those films truly deserves, and you'll get the rough RT score or MetaCritic score.
Exactly Starlogger, because it is more "politically correct" for critics to praise a drama where:
- one or more characters are crying, preferably in the rain with a conveniently placed spotlight in front of the characters.
- a character is either ill or suffers mental disorders or physical disabilities (a combination is a perfect bait for the critics and jury for award nominations)
- racism and homosexuality is not only a theme, but a message forced down our throats like a facehugger planting a seed.
- Very boring upper-class jokes

Its hard to say really... and it depends if those who post a score are.
1) Alien Fans in General
2) Alien Fans who did not like Prometheus
3) Prometheus fans
4) General Sci-Fi Fans
5) Casual viewers.
I am going to guess and we have to wait about until just before DVD Release but i think the score could be about 7/10 IMDB and 74% Rotten Toms...

This is off topic and didn't know exactly where to post this, just thought of this like a minute ago. We are definitely seeing a trailer for The Predator with Alien: Covenant right? Or will it be too early in production to get a trailer ready?
@ neomorph
You forgot to mention that they truly cherish a love story that transcends age, beauty, and even regular bowel movements... (you know, Beauty & the Beast, Jay-Z & Beyonce, Gary Busey & that domesticated Sasquatch...yeah, that sorta thing...).
We may be hosed on this one...
@Dr. Curt Connors
I dont think we would see a Trailer for The Predator as the movie does not shoot until a few weeks time.
I would assume we would not get a The Predator Trailer until around December 2017
R.I.P Sox 01/01/2006 - 11/10/2017
@ BigDave Yeah I figured since it hasn't started shooting yet that would be the case. Maybe they would just a throw a teaser out there just to hype it up for the fans.
98 or 97 on rt.That's what Alien and Aliens have. That might be a bit unrealistic though.6 range imdb, this movie probably won't register to well with the public.
Nothing the God of biomechanics wouldn't let you in heaven for
Lol I know, I was just naming a few examples.
The film Interstellar is a prime example of a PC Academy Award jury baiter imo, the film almost sh*ts itself with all the silly clichés (sorry Nolan I see what you did there)
- A father has to leave his cute perfect little TV commercial kids- check
- A boy is sick from the dust- check
- Almost every damn character start to cry- check (this literally happens lol)
- Honorable sacrifice to the tone of *sacrifice theme*- check
I'm sure I missed a lot more. It does fail on present time pc racial diversity though as there's only a black character, no Asian, Indians or Latinos. #andstillsarcastic
Sorry to get OT
Christopher Nolan is a genius! If you don't cry watching Interstellar then you don't have a heart or a soul! I cry watching tons of movies and I am proud of that, that's what makes a movie great if you are emotional and it makes you emotional and care about what's going on! If you don't care about the characters and what's going on in the movie then what's the point.
Not actually saying you don't have a heart or soul, it's just a phrase. And everyone is entitled to their own opinion. And I had to stick up for my favorite director of all time, Christopher Nolan doesn't make movies so they get nominated for Academy Awards, if that were the case Dunkirk would be coming out in November or December instead of July.
Hahaha sorry I think you misinterpreted my sarcastic post XD maybe I should've been more clear. I did not meant to insult Nolan (his protective fans generally tend to get super aggressive on forums)
I like Nolan for sure, he's a fine director, I just felt that Interstellar was set up mainly to win several Academy Awards using well-proven tactics. An attempt to become the next Stanley Kubrick.
He basically kickstarted Batman and brought the caped crusader back to the major spotlight again, and I'm grateful for that. Also, Memento was fantastic imo.
@Neomorph I got ya, it's all good and well. I like debating about these things. Nothing was directed at you personally just a fun debate.
