I wandered when i first saw the trailer it was from when Amy Seimetz had ran off to call the Covenant and then she dropped the Headset to run back to check on Carmen Ejogo and Benjamin Rigby

Trailers can be misleading as far as sound clips... so who knows.

If we however take this at Face Value as for how this Scene is shot in the trailer.. then it would imply that Amy Seimetz is on the other side of that headset and so this Scene is on the Covenant...

Which if so who can this person be?

Question should be.... Does this look part of the Drop-ship? or on the Covenant?

Ok looked at HD Trailer... prepare for a bizarre theory

*I cant see why the Drop-ship would have steps like that going from the Passenger Hold to the Pilot Cockpit, it looks tad odd and maybe the distance between the door this Character is running to and the furthest thing we see to the right... does not seem like it would fit with a layout of the Drop Ship.

*Person does not look like have same clothes as Amy Seimetz but then its so hard to tell.

*Looks like a body is near those steps but it could be something else.

*Person looks like their right hand is deformed and large, also looks like a elongated head...

I get the impression of this Fifield Concept work..

HOWEVER....

I am 60/40 in favor of it being the Drop Ship and Seimetz, despite the audio clip sound like someone trying to contact the Covenant at the time this person is away from the Headset... 

Questions i have is why would the Covenant have a Headset in this room? would they not be using the Covenants Bridge.... but by the same Token... would someone on the Drop Ship not use the Cockpit?

Evidence against this being Seimetz could be indeed we see her use the Cockpit to contact the Covenant... and also this room we have what looks like a Wire hanging from the roof like some damage has happened..

If we look at it like this... Then Indeed it could be someone else who is up to no Good and so then indeed we can speculate to what it is..

Dave, I agree with you, my first thought was that we see a mutated person. I'd say she is Shaw - shown and not shown at the same time.

Look its a tall and massive (potentially bald) humanoid man - yep must be Shaw

It's an engineer...clearly

I'm not sure I'd say it's "clearly" an Engineer, but it sure looks it could be one as the head and hand appear to have white skin as an Engineer does.  Plus, the character's movement reminds me of the movement of the Engineers in the holograms, etc in 'Prometheus'.

@Membrane - I know, I was just being a wise-a**.  No clue who it was.  But I'm leaning towards it being one of the women left in the drop ship

Whatever it is it appears to be limping up the steps and out of the room. Its pale, has a bald head and seems to have an enlarged hand and ass, however it seems to have clothes on?

Is it an injured adult Neo that thought it would get dressed up a bit?

Anyone with HD screen shot skills care to help, could be very interesting?

I just watched the trailer again about 10 times in super slow mo and HD...still can't make it out.  But definitely dressed in clothing...maybe someone got infected and started to change on the spot and ran back to the shuttle?

Agree- I wonder if that figure was using the headphones or maybe killed someone using them and ran away.

Let's assume when you hear "come in Covenant" it's a person on the other side of the head set at this moment. The thing shambling away is therefore on board the Covenant actual. It's not the Xeno, what is it and how did it get there?

1: goo infected crew member no one knew about, but how did they get back on board? (Can't make this work in my head, yet.)

2: goo infected Branson who was always on board, and is now transforming. (This currently doesn't make any sense whatsoever)

The second possibility means Walter is BAD, AND he has access to goo, or a version of it. When Daniels asks "Where is it" she sounds angry. Maybe she just wants vengeance for what the Xeno did to her crew, but my gut says she's angry at the person she is asking. Like the person she is asking knows because they are somehow responsible for "it." Pure conjecture, but it troubles me.

A very Sick Franco out of cryosleep maybe?  Maybe has a bit part later in the film as a company man that has inside info into what they are walking into.  Maybe he doomed them all?

Might explain the choice of him as a captain over Crudup's character.

what if the covenant stopped by Prometheuses LV-223 before everything we ever got to see in the trailers and last supper prologue?

maybe only the captain, walter and some company henchman were in on it and out for the trip, and ofcourse brought something with them and into their cryo chambers..

I could get behind that, Fifield.  The true evil this whole time could the human element/interference, not the usually psychotic synthetics.

Its Shaw mutated and transforming into a Baby head. 10 years on that planet, its the only way she could still be alive.

Another possibility of course is the simplest of all...its just a fuzzy shot of a crew member running to get help

It looks like it's supposed to be a fatal coincidence? At the same time as something happens on The Covenant which makes a crew member dash off (the headphones hanging without a listener) we hear Daniel's (?) desperate voice from "Paradise": "Covenant do you read me"? She might be asking for help (another dropship) or she wants to warn them not to let anyone from "Paradise" aboard The Covenant?

is it me or just the way the picture is..... but is that what/who ever it is, in a crouching posture?
