David/Walter switcheroo

Maybe walter has a dormant program that kicks in at a certain point in the covenant mission, see we don't know what agenda WY are playing,

has WY been in contact with David all this time keeping WY up to date with how his little experiments are proceeding?

if that is the case the covenant is heading in to a trap, crew expendable all over again, when walters hidden program activates will he co-ordinate his evil efforts with david, i am only speculating, but would be an awsome twist to the story.

I think the piano scene is where Walter is being briefed about the prometheus mission and what his agenda will be. His reaction is somewhat shocked to what he  has heard. That is if that is indeed Walter. 

He will divert the covenant to paradise for unknown reasons yet. David knows Weyland Yutani will be sending someone this way and is preparing something for them. 

If that is David before they even left earth then its a very elaborate mission. Then again it could be something Weyland told him in a dream.

It seems the Covenant is headed for a trap. Your theory seems as good as any but I think it would be lame if David and Walter worked together- unless it is done in a way to completely blow our minds.

The fact that its the same actor tells you to be on your toes when it comes to a possible switch-a-roo. Otherwise just use a different actor.

Why would Peter Weyland only groom one David?

I thought that briefing was with a younger Weyland though. Perhaps that was a holograph?
