Source was Collider. Could RS have done some filming from AC for the sequel and it is on the shelf like discussed before?

No filming was done as far as I know. Just the script has been completed and filming could begin as early as 2018.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched Androids blow and finger each other's flutes.

Sounds good to me.Nobody wants to wait another five years for the next installment(kinda the average wait for this series)but i hope it's not rushed.Sometimes when a sequel comes that quick,they don't always deliver.But the same can be said of long awaited sequels too(Kingdom of The Crystal Skull is a good example)

It seems like they would have done something to take advantage of the fact there would be a sequel that was already written- props and people are already there. This also assumes that location might be used again.
